Women's rugby league international on ch9 right now Australia vs New Zealand.
Not a bad crowd in to watch the ladies. Be interesting to see the TV ratings.

Hawks v Rich 49600
Australia v NZ 27700
Albeit one was played at MCG the other at Hunter stadium - but if it was really that relevant it would have been played at ANZ or Suncorp.

I am more interested in comparing nationwide TV rating from tonight's games.Swans4ever wrote:Hawks v Rich 49600

Expected to see country vs country cave it up then two teams inside one city....or maybe not...quite embarrassing to RL if it weren't the case

Yeah unless it comprehensively beats AFL then it is irrelevant.docker24 wrote:I am more interested in comparing nationwide TV rating from tonight's games.Swans4ever wrote:Hawks v Rich 49600

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Why, it's the Kangaroos and Socceroos who take games to Metro and Regional areas each year giving different people a chance to watch their national team while a team like the Wallabies only ever play at the two main stadiums never taking another game anywhere else unless it's a minnow.Swans4ever wrote:Hawks v Rich 49600

Why should Newcastle, Canberra, Gold Coast, Wollongong, Geelong (if they ever put in a bid for a smaller game) and any other area with a decent stadium not showcase our National teams? Are the Wallabies and others too good for the regional areas?

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Hahaha this is so funny, Paramatta Eels v South Sydney. Souths membership 32539, Paramatta membership 21948. So combined total of 54487 right, so naturally enough they played the game at ANZ right - nope no one using the ground completely empty - so where did they play this game at Alliance where they can get at least 45,500 in, where it may get a little tight but for the 2 biggest clubs in NRL in Sydney only fitting right? Nope, ok how about Spotless stadium holds 24,000 right have to turn fans away but be a big atmospher right? nope - Paramatta Stadium well fair enough it is Paramatta's home ground, so Paramatta stadium capacity of 21,486 would have been hanging from the rafters right - after all we regularly hear how the Swans with their crowd average in the 30's and 52,000 members are well short of their membership. Well Paramatta 21900 members at Paramatta stadium that has a capacity of only 21487 so it has to be full to the brim with 400 Paramatta members turned away right and NO opposition fans there right but again full to the brim! NOPE wrong again a combined membership of 54,000 playing at a location central to both clubs in Sydney, Friday night, match of the round! Only 16,000 of both memberships bothered to turn up! Puts the Swans membership and crowds into new perspective don't it folks - I bet they had massive tv ratings which no doubt will be brought up - but again all those fans WHO PAID for a membership and not even 2/3 bothered to show in in fact less than 3/11 braved the night air!!!! Says it all!

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
Again, just because a club has 50000 members does not mean they are all season membership.. They may be 3 game membership. So the argument that if you have say 50000 members then you should be getting around the same to games is just plain silly or ignorant at best

I can't believe it the Storm are playing Nth QLD at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane - like isn't it a Storm home game - is this the start of Melb moving to Brisbane to become the second team in Brisbane? Are they putting a tie in the water - bad look for the NRL!

If GWS post anything above 8k they are kidding themselves, looks to be about 7k tbh.
Looks like last weeks 4 Free tickets per person and Hawks away support made up a big chunk of the crowd last week.
