Sat TV #AFLGF updated Metro+Reg 4,053,000 Metro FTA
Sun TV NRL GF #NRLCBYMEL updates: Metro 2,551,000 Regional 1,316,000 Total 3,867,000

SKY NZ Pay tv NRL: 235,080

NRL = 4.1M
AFL = 4.05M

Very even numbers but with NZ involved in the NRL (ie, The Warriors, TV deal) it is a Win to the NRL.
was the AFL grand final broadcast in new zealand?
Do NZ have a team in AFL?, a team thats part of the AFL's revenue stream?

Final numbers

National figures (Does not include Pay TV)
AFL
Match: 4.05m

NRL
Match: 3.86m

The AFL really needs a twilight grand final next year to compete with the nrl, especially seeing as the nrl final will start at 7:15pm next year.
You are a dead set peanut.

Neither code has there GF on Fox..... :lol:

Peanut of the highest order.... :lol:

Lets face it on Tuesday NZ sky will post its numbers and the NRL will either take over the AFL or be right on par with it.
for starters the even if the NRL rates higher once including NZ it still loses in Australia :wink:

Secondly, the AFL have a 450k lead so good luck with that! :lol: :lol: :lol:

NRL v AFL

The SOO is a tournament of its own. It rates well, but less than the AFL GF :wink:

Other than that the AFL dominated the NRl on payTv and FTA

Keep your cream Dave, you need it more than me. :wink:

I love how butthurt the some AFL fans on this site are.

The NRL is played across 2 countries with 2 different revenue streams.

NRL 4.1M Across our RL markets.
AFL 4.05M Across AFL markets.

These are the figures and no matter how you twist it the NRL came slightly out in front, time for some of our AFL fans here to suck it up.

NRL owned the AFL on Pay TV this year it was not even close, and FTA do i need to say more....???

Xman is so butthurt he is trying to use presentation Ratings as game ratings, really pathetic.

Xman do you shake hands with the opposition after a AFL match? Some how i highly doubt it, time to give props were they are due... =D>
