I'll admit those melbourne numbers are amazing, but those sydney numbers are a complete joke.

More Melbourners watched the NRL grand final then QLD, once again proving that QLD are a bunch of bandwagon supporters.QueenslandISAFL wrote:Yes, but the AFL grand final managed to get 1.4m viewers in it's home state while the nrl grand final couldn't even get a millioneelofwest wrote:Yeah and the NRL game also out rated the Swans in Sydney..QueenslandISAFL wrote:ahahahahahaha, the nrl grand final only rated 200k more then the AFL grand final did in sydney!!! You always here Rabs say Suncorp/QLD the home of rugby league.....

Please Sydney will always be the Heartland/home of RL. Rabs warren needs to stop saying those type of things becuase it is quite clear that QLD only support QLD and not the game of NRL or AFL for that matter.
It could be a chook race and they would still yell out Queenslander....

The AFL rating figure includes a 6.30 replay of the game on Fox. How petty are these people?

no, the actual ratings area for sydney ratings is 4.5m. The biggest difference is prime time captures casual viewers who just happened to be home. Afternoon shows have far less casual viewers, hence prime time always rates far higher.eelofwest wrote:Yeah and the NRL game also out rated the Swans in Sydney..QueenslandISAFL wrote:ahahahahahaha, the nrl grand final only rated 200k more then the AFL grand final did in sydney!!! Ofcourse queenslanders are bandwagoners, 10 years ago the brisbane lions were the biggest thing in queensland, then the bronco's were, now the queensland reds, it's a joke.eelofwest wrote:More Melbourners watched the NRL grand final then QLD, once again proving that QLD are a bunch of bandwagon supporters.QueenslandISAFL wrote:Yes, but the AFL grand final managed to get 1.4m viewers in it's home state while the nrl grand final couldn't even get a millioneelofwest wrote:Yeah and the NRL game also out rated the Swans in Sydney..![]()

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings Thread
Lets not let facts get in the way of a good story.4.6 Sydney 4.2 Melbourne. It would seem that Sydney siders don't care much for the game when their own aren't playing.Great final series for the AFL smashed em on all fronts. With the extra kanga expansion paid for. And regional ratings are nice but it's the cities which hold the cash. That's why 90% of all our teams are based there. It is here that the AFL is clearly king and why advertising on the afls biggest day was 30% more expensive.eelofwest wrote:Yeah and the NRL game also out rated the Swans in Sydney..QueenslandISAFL wrote:ahahahahahaha, the nrl grand final only rated 200k more then the AFL grand final did in sydney!!! Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings Thread
I might be new here however I'm not new to League fans trying to twist TV figures to make it sound like its the highest rating game. The AFL final outrated the NRL final in this country, meaning in Australia it was the most watched football code and putting the game at number one this year. In Australia league was number 2, even after the efforts of TV networks to change game times to put the game into prime time.eelofwest wrote:Hey do the AFL have a broadcast deal with canada? See close to 4 million as Pies said.
You were predicting 3.5m......
3,867,000 and we are still waiting on NZ ratings which will push it above or on par with the AFL.
As pussycat says not bad for a 13 a side code and a code in 2 states apparently... =D>
NZ ratings? That AFL game was shown live in Canada, can we add those?? You got less, just face it
NRL did was it does best, coming second again.
Does the AFL have a Canadian team in the AFL? NOOOOOO
You doofus you are new to this site ill let that slide...
NRL is played across 2 nations and we also have a TV deal with NZ so suck it up buddy your game is limited to AUS.. =D>
Furthermore RL is watched and played in more countries then the AFL, it is not even close if we were to add all the telecasts for the NRL up and put it against the AFL.
Mat visit the International thread on this site if you wish to find out RL vs AFL internationally, its quite the lough.
