plus the more money for them because their fumbling mess goes for a 1/3 longer is also a twerpball myth
the deals for the 2 codes prior to covid were
416 mill pa for the bumbling clown show
380 mill for the NRL
pretty much the same , & the length of the 2 games was the same as now.
PVL in a panic negotiated a new deal during covid & was lied to about foxtels finances
it went to 402 mill , & when the phins came in 422 mill pa
the stumbling twat shows deal is ofc a smoke & mirrors con job ( same as everything about that lot )
of the 642 mill
50 mill in contra
50 mill is a telstra payment , which isn't even a media company
the deals are pretty close
the NRL will kazump fumbleballs present 6 year deal when they do their next one later this year

exactly Special Ed!
if the NRL flogs the AFL in the ratings, like you lot claim. then why does the AFL get a lot more than the NRL?
They get about a 1/3 more TV rights money because the mess goes for about a 1/3 longer. They also have many more breaks in play due to the ridiculously easy scoring methods. I.E. networks have more time to sell advertising and more breaks for same.
Hope you can comprehend this Wacko. Have a great day pal and the best to Mrs Wacko.
to place an advertisment on TV in Sydney is far more expensive than say Perth. so any excuse you come up with doesnt make up for the fact AFL gets more than the NRL for there total product internationals and SOO

tv Deals in the pass have been quite close between the codes. the recent one AFL blew NRL out of water.
but its totally different circumstances.
AFL is signed to 2031 on a 7 year deal
NRL is signed when done will be until 2032
that is the deal you compare the two codes between.
and we will not have to wait to long
NRL want deal done Before Finals 2025
NRL ratings have ballooned in recent years
add in extra teams and extra games and growing women's game
things totally change
and everything is pointing well over 3 billion
which would put it at per annum more than the AFL
we shall wait and see

Yeah - I turned off just before half time - was shocking the skill level was terrible. Re: ratings - as it’s only FTA doesn’t mean too much anyway. Even the “estimates” for stv (used last year by some - which were a stretch then ) can’t even be used given likely changes in stv subs re: Saturday exclusive etc etc.
But yeah - I thought that game was so bad it was hard to believe - even the atmosphere and feel you got through the tv felt very amateurish - like watching the vfa at a local suburban ground.

literally, was a stinker, every sport gets them ya just cant help it sometimes..
and we do have figures from last season FRED>
we also have a quote 16% rise for KAYO Sports. ya get a good picture of how ratings are going.
especially when Streaming is getting more popular to the FOX BOX.
