It is quite interesting the mindset of a cult member .
Can he admit that on STV RL is slaughtering AFL ..nope
He just can't bring himself to admit that .
He will waffle on with crap about FTA ..or matches on at the same time etc .

Does anyone know a good brainwashing de-programmer to help our little stuck in the cult friend here?
Do i admit your single games rate higher than our games which are shown against another fox and fta game? Yep, no issue there

Your 60k, 90k 120k would all be getting 2 or 300k if it wasn't for the overlaps and other programming hardships the AFL
faces

here's why you're wrong. Melbourne's AFL clubs are not consistently shown on FTA into Melbourne, jut like Sydney's NRL clubs arent shown into Sydney. This leaves each code's secondary home markets, QLD for the NRL and WA/SA for the AFL. The AFL require multiple games to target these markets because Perth and Adelaide share 4 clubs. They cant do it with a single game like the Broncos into Brisbane. The Broncos are on FTA 16 times this year, so most of their games. So the advantage of Home teams shown into home markets is no where near as significant as you guys make out
The AFL TV guide only shows the first 11 rounds. In those rounds Melbourne has 11 of 11. How much more consistancy can you have than that?

There are about 80 NRL games on FTA. 160 Teams will take part in those matches. Brisbane make 16 appearances out of a possible 160 . point? or just more la la land stuff.
Can you explain this post? It makes no sense

Just because it makes no sense to you doesn't mean it makes no sense.

You claimed Melbourne AFL teams are not consistently shown into Melbourne on FTA. They are! 10 of 11 on Friday Night 11 of 11 on Saturday night. That seems fairly consistent and not that difficult to understand

As for the Broncos, who you try too make out play all the time. Appear in 16 of 80 FTA matches. 5 of the 25 shown on Friday night. So your wrong once again and once again its not difficult to understand [-(

LOL's have you noticed that pretty much your only PTV game that rates is on Friday night at the same time as your FTA game.

And do you honestly think that your Lions games or Suns matches, which usually rate in the single figures are suddenly going to rate at 200k if there was no overlap? Overlap from the Freemantle match :(/ :(/ :(/

Well if you've noticed it, and it is good that you've noticed it. You will be aware that your FTA match is shown at the exact same time as your PTV game yet appears to have minimal, if any affect on your PTV ratings which seems to contradict what you said in your earlier post.

And as for the Suns , Freemantle ,' Lions overlap question are you going to answer that or is it a bit hard?

Just ignore and hope it goes away :(/ :(/ :(/

this is complete BS! In a typical round every game bar 1 is shown concurrently, so are you claiming 8 of our matches are low rating games hidden by scheduling? :drunk:

yes but Melbourne only get 3 live FTA games, and Saturday arvo on delay, and there are 10 teams. Not every Melbourne club is shown consistently into Melbourne every round

Cut out your Psychobabble bullshit. All Melbourne matches are shown live.

Answer the question . Would the Lions get 200k rather than 60k if they did not have overlap to contend with?

or would they get 75k??????????????????????

the difference in ratings between Friday and Sat/Sun isnt only the sides that are playing, its the fact Friday is shown in isolation and Saturday/Sunday are all concurrent.

Eg: Rnd 1
Friday night STV #AFL AFLDonsCrows 266k
Saturday night STV #AFLHawksPies 176k

Rnd 2
Thursday STV #AFLCrowsTigers 252k
Saturday STV #AFLFreoDons 160k
Sunday STV #AFLDogsEagles 135k

These are all comparable games as far as the popularity of the different sides, yet the clear difference is Saturday rates far lower because it competes with another AFL game
