With regionals this will be close
Cowboys regionals typically rate anywhere from 310 - 370k
our regionals will be 200-250k so we will end up 1.03-1.08m

If you get 370k you'll end up 1.08m

As I said, it'll be close
Mate your larger ratings regional games this year rated 215k max.

more like 200-230k
except that WA regionals will be higher

It was a shocking game last night, plus it started later than normal because of the 2 hour difference between Melbourne and Perth. It was over by half time and the second half didnt begin until after 9.30 in Vic, so a fair few people would have given up on the game.

The AFL have picked too many Carlton, Essendon, Richmond and Collingwood games on FN's this year because they may very well end up being the bottom 4 teams on the ladder

But but but

maybe if you had more teams in more cities you'd be able to do this too

lol no but but butting..

it actually looks worst for the AFL

3 games 2 beat 1 game

one game at 1pm live into Adelaide/Sydney
one game at 3:20pm live into melbourne
one game at 4:40pm live into perth

while all games being live of FOX attracting more viewers from other states.

so they were not all at the same time, yes some overlapping

Quite pathetic really

you know very well it isnt 3 games, its only one game into every city. [-X

As for 3 games into 3 cities, this is often a disadvantage. For example the Crows v Swans game on Saturday night was one of the games of the season yet was only shown into Sydney and Adelaide. The rest of the country was forced to watch pathetic Carlton in a boring one-sided game. If the Adelaide game had been shown nationally it would have rated far better. The foxtel ratings prove this with the Adelaide game rating around 3 times the Carlton game. #-o

The AFL simply cant avoid this with so many teams spread across 5 cities. Simple fact is over 1 mil watching 3 hours on a Sunday arvo at the same time is miles above what the NRL can produce =D>

Nice rebuttal....

Not sure why a single telecast of a team from our major markets is an issue anyway. The NRL do it often when they play Broncos v Sydney team. Sure, it's a single game, but it is still relevant to your entire metro market. We need more than a single game to do this because our metro market is 3 cities, not 2

Because if Perth are watching a Perth team they rate 85k not 125k , 30% extra - ditto the other states. 30% +30% +.................

60% of people watch a couple of games.
30% a few more
about 5% would watch all matches. your concurrent matches theory is CRAP! people watch the main matches only...... Switching over during the breaks, which boosts the Lions total.

Thu 362k
Fri 356k
Previous Sunday 259k

yes yes we know. The NRL do that by showing the broncos almost every Friday, and have done so for years. The NRL can do it with a single game because their entire heartland metro market lives in 2 cities. The AFL need at least 2 games to do it.

Very true what Pussycat said.

Yes 1 game into every city, Picking the best rating game.

and if other states cant watch on FTA

not a problem will just catch it on fox.

you could of watched the Whole port v giants game and freo v kangas game.
without over lapping

one FTA and one on fox after each other..

heck you could of watched 3/4 of the pies game
and flicked it over for the kangas game and watched half a game..

it all counts.
