The AFL's number two is telling the truth. He would have the exact figures with him. I don't need to prove anything. You have to prove he is lying and you CAN'T!

that's the same logic that deluded religious fantatics often use. PROVE GOD DOESNT EXIST! YOU CANT!
what a legitimate dimwit.

No you're a dimwit if you think that has anything to do with it.
Prove he's lying then. I only said you can't because you don't have the exact figures in front of you and until you do you'll just keep claiming he's lying without any evidence!
If anyone is a legitimate dimwit it's you.

I have to admit 20000 playing in nz seems a bit rich ... I am sure they justify done how bit lacks face validity. Registered players may be a good measure. It's the same as nrl claiming so many players having a "rl experience".... It's just crap too.

I think they both do it ... I mean "rl experience ". Rl in Victoria is basically unheard of outside storm and national news programmes. That is, you don't drive around and see rl grounds, posts, local games.etc. I would doubt it would be in the top 20 sports to be really honest. I'd say it would be worse in south Australia and tassie. I think w.a has done well in building some grass roots though. Whereas you look at AFL in Sydney and you at least have a decent presence. 5 leagues in Sydney alone. Is it the ban in the streets game ... No way but certainly kids are playing the game in numbers. Are they playing it at lunch at a school ... Most likely no ..
So we get Dave saying crap like no one follows AFL in Sydney (he lives on Canberra ??), nrl have better crowds ??? And on and on.

There's a RL ground right next to my work, the only RL ground I've seen in Victoria. Obviously there are others but none in the areas I've been to in over 40yrs living in Melbourne. On a Saturday a few months ago I was leaving work and I decided to stop and watched some of the game, the Gf I think. This was the first live RL I've ever seen. Not sure what to think of it to be honest. The crowd was sizeable for a local game, although being the final that's understandable. However, 80% of the crowd looked kiwi to the point where I actually felt like I was crashing a private party. Some big units too.

Try Werribee, Sunshine, Broady, Dandenong there's a very large Islander population - I know 1st hand but only about 2-3% would play RL. 70% play RU, about 20% soccer, at least 7% AF - there is very few playing league!
