hmmm there alot of plastic patriotism in oz no doubt bout it, you get these typical ozzies (the surfie kind) who sing the national anthem. everytime they do it i cringe. jus a bunch of wannabes IMO, jus something about them pisses me off big time. i cant stand the young 20 yr old tyical ozzie, "patriotic" the wanker know not the meaning of the word.


the union jack is a butchers apron, even the english ppl have turned their backs on it.

I'm with you GC, those scenes I witnessed on the news of drunkard Aussies singing the national anthem before going on rampage and bashing innocent people made me sick.

I just want to see it off the Australian flag. Why can't we have our own flag without the bloody Union Jack. We just look like a pathetic little colony.

i like the football team, when someone slags it off for no reason at all other than they're "crap" or what ever else, i feel the need to correct them, when the wq has not even kicked off. i will make my thoughts know on the team when i have seen them play. the oz football team is the only oz sporting team a will support.

i wouldnt sing the oz national anthem at all, tbh i think its a diabolical bunch of words and the tune that goes with it. anyone who wants to sing this out of "pride" and "patriotism" is a sad person indeed. i'll say this some aspects of oz are a big illusion.

Yeah the Australian national anthem like the flag is a bit cringeworthy. How about the line "for we are young and free"? Hmm, yeah Aboriginal Australia just love that line.

the true "ozzies" come out on oz day(most of them in their teens) and start causing trouble, we have alot of them here in perth, abusing hospital staff who try to help them when they have injured themselves partaking in some stupid form of entertainment, throwing glass bottles at each other, verbally abusing families with young children e.t.c

you sometimes wonder what in fucks name is wrong with these people. i certainly do.

well oz day is close and the "ozzie patriots" are going to come out draped in the flag and try to be more ozzie than the other person sitting next to them. this will involve the use of vile language aimed at children, seniors and parents. Glass bottles will be the order of the day. At around mid day a male will get injured then taken to hospital while his friends hang around outside abusing anyone that walks past them. Ozzie "mateship" will be also shown when they all gather in groups and hunt some one down who is diffrent from them.

all in all it will have been a good day with violence and a few casualities, but hey it what oz day is all about showing how proud you are to be australian.

LOL, I realise it is a serious problem, but everytime I read about the glass bottle throwing, I can't help but laugh. Stupid Aussies.
