600k Reach
So we looking around 250k average for Fox and Kayo
Pretty good when ya think about it.
These games need to be on Ch7 though
Yep, these games must be on free to air tv to engage a much larger audience nationwide.
I wonder how this all fits in with the current broadcast agreements with Fox Footy and Channel 7. More broadcast revenue?
The AFL would be giving it to the networks for Free in current deal.
It is a bit like the NRL with the NRL Womens comp when it started up, it was Free of Charge
but the Networks have all the production costs, it is all about building it to an Audience.
Would need a series of games from the womens and the mens for it to become a value to the Broadcasters.
Than to build it into an event where you have millions watching

what did everyone think of the Aus v Ireland game
the 1st of it's kind in AFL vs another country at actual AFL rules.
for me, i am not sure what it rated or anything,
but for me, in the women's i would have a 3 game series.
and in the future if i would have a 3 game series in IRELAND>
The AFL have tried a lot of different ideas over the years with mixed results but this Australia vs Ireland concept really worked.
Looking a the viewer tv ratings the match exceeded expectations, pity it wasn't on free to air but maybe Kayo want a few events to themselves.
A best out of three could be tried with an international rules match in Ireland but wouldn't rush anything yet until the success of this event is proved to be sustainable.
Closer scorelines is what will generate lasting interest.
If we are talking around that 200k mark for FOX>
when taking in to account CH7 AFLW GF rated 340k odd on FTA
it is pretty decent.
this concept would need a Series, ONE games here and there do nothing.
I am guessing the AFL will take it slow and steady.
