10 are desperate. They need the biggest sport in the land, and they need the 1 sport in queensland in the 1-12 year old demographic, which is AFL. We dominate auskick figures up here, and all the little queenslanders love the lions and the gold coast suns. The AFL could use this to jump off the sinking ship that is kayo/fox and rescue the titanic that is channel 10.

Caroline Wilson said it on SEN as well. She said DAZN doesn't view the AFL highly at all. Fair to say, there is meat to it.

Whatever it is - and it does seem to have fizzled as an issue - but if Dazn are looking to cut costs- and it does seem that way with staffing cuts at least / it doesn’t boad well for nrl negotiations.

depends how bad DAZN wants the NRL and how much over it will go
