The difference between the two teams in terms of popularity is not significant.
The fact that the Sun's draw reasonable to good crowds in RL territory is a great achievement in itself.
Sun's are playing great football this year and the fans keep turning up.
Great win over the Demons.
Crowd over 13000.
https://www.AFL.com.au/news/1351562/sli ... ing-demons
the Swans draw double to what the Storm draw, GCS are 6k away to what the Storm draw in a so called NRL strong hold!
the Suns are going nicely while the storm seem to be struggling
Swines 29200
Storm 21400
yea thats double
mmmmeeeoooowwwwwww
1 game over 30 years!
muppit
the Swans dominate the averages in Sydney 38k
Storm lowest averages in Melbourne

Nights are cold now no matter how good the day is. Was at beachmont hotel last night and they had the camp fires burning and outside heater. Was chilli. Wore pants for the first time in a long while.

They are expecting about 24000 - hoping to break the record which is just over 24000 - which for all intents and purposes is a sell-out. Holds 25000 it says but think a lot of that is standing room. I did hear that they have configured the ground to allow more standing room - although as you cannot buy standing room not sure what this is about - unless they have changed that too.
You think CBUS will be full? Holds apparently 27690 - highest ever crowd was 27227 and that was a final.

24k (yeah if that is the case i think Suns will get the chocolates,
its a 6:15pm kick off sunday night, which is quite unusual for a Broncos v Titans game.
judging by ticketek around 70% tickets are sold
so a crowd around 22k looks in order.

As I thought - the suns have just released a limited amount of tickets - so I guess they reconfigured the seating or got rid of some promo area or something.

Suns having their best year ever, and playing the highest drawing team in the comp should have a comfortable win in the crowd stakes.
Sun's could also win on the score board.

Crowd was just over 22000 which was a bit dissapointing - but still good. What was good was there was plenty of suns supporters there - and passionate ones - still massively favoured the pies but way more than previous games where is was like 90 percent pies supporters.

is there a cricket club membership structure like there is at the Gabba and MCG, where usually wealthy people, businesses buy year long memberships and exclusive, access to seats, causing games called as sell outs but always 5, 10 plus empty seats?
