I think when you have sell outs for most games - it’s pretty good re : finals. You can only fill what there is to fill. The giants game was not as great as it could of been but we all know the giants are struggling.
And anyway - we know crowds are a strong point for AFL and not a strong point for nrl - particuarly in Sydney for nrl. I’d say Sydney swans are doing great crowd wise and really, giants are probably not where they were hoped to be re: support (definetely) but given the area they are trying to tap - probably where they were going to be - if not worse.
I thi k it is some spin trying to say finals crowds this year are dissapointing when all but one has been mostly full of not full - basing this on last year where more games played at larger stadiums - with calls now for a larger stadium for the swans - and lions - due to consistently large crowds.
That doesn't seem to work in reverse though fwed , fumblers always use the NRL having smaller crowds as being some pointer to its inferiority as you just have there , the entrenched arrogance comes to the fore
no consideration is given to the NRL for selling out many games in 2024 & 3 of its 4 week one finals as well with the 4th one attracting a far bigger crowd then any swines game has in 2024 or for a long long time , the NRL is doing as much as they can do ... fill their grounds
Our venues are smaller , end of
& if this isn't a valid point for our smaller crowds then don't cry when its pointed out .. correctly .. that your finals crowds are down because where they're played is irrelevant
