220,000 attendees to the 3 games
TV ratings to be confirmed but around 10.5 million TV viewers, on top of over 3 million watching the 3 womens games on TV & 75,000 at the grounds.
Its back to Perth for game 2 of the 2025 series
it will be a 60,000 sellout , the WA capital will be buzzing with RL vibes in anticipation of their new team starting in 2027
It will be interesting to see how they schedule it though , the previous 2 origins in Perth have been Sunday games with a 6pm kickoff over there
That won't work on a Wednesday night
So i think we will have a stand alone origin weekend next year.

I think foxtel will want a slice of the action & could get it by partnering with ch 10 to cover it ( it has to be on FTA) & showing it on STV as well..
Ch 9 will be under pressure then to trump up or the NRL will sell both the mens & womens series's off separate from the NRL comps.
The NRL is in a very good position to capitalise on 2 outstanding series & maximise its earnings through them.

i Agree, i know it is worth more to FTA to have exclusive rights of BIG Sporting events.
but i would love FOX showing GF and Origin too.

im not fussed either way , remain exclusive to FTA or a combo with STV
Ch 9 need to be told the exclusive rights to the
NRL
NRLW
womens state of origin
mens state of origin
are worth 180 mill pa from 2028 for the 5 years after
if 9 go thats too much we won't pay that
then we tell Ch 10 they can have the rights to the same product for the same amount as long as they're prepared to share it all including the GF with foxtel for 130 mill pa , & foxtel will pay the extra 50 mill for the origin series's
10 can piss soccer off , its worthless .... they should be able to afford it as a result.
foxtel can gear the TV coverage to push higher quality games onto STV to push subscriptions & they'll be 2 extra games a week by the end of the deal so we have every right to demand 420 mill pa for the NRL content alone on par with their payments to the AFL from 2026.
the kiwis minimum should near double to 60 mill pa with the 2 extra game per week & more importantly a very strong chance one more team from NZ to enter the comp in the life of the deal.
thats 660 mill pa
& theres no crap additions in that .....like telstras 50 mill pa padding of the afls 640 mill pa deal
& we're numb 1 again for the first time since 1992
we're we belong
