lol like NRL clubs arent doing the same thing. Witness the nosedive in Tigers members when they decided to do them properly. They literally halved. No other club has offered to do the same.

The NRL has has kind of pushed them since 2011. Its why you see so many club record anouncements these days
Its a measure of engagement that is little better than a survey that many people pay for. Ive said this since 2021 when the AFL changed the definition.
However the AFL and its clubs make hundreds of millions from it sooooo it must be worth while.
