Mickey o the great swans ambassador plus friends paid 200k hush money
John Elliot admitted Carlton paid hush money to (allegedly)sexual assault victims
Gilty is fine with it . Which to me is disgusting ..protect the image protect the image ..at all costs
So it would come as no surprise if it is happening regularly .
At least in RL our dirty laundry( & there's stacks of it at the moment) get aired . No cover ups .

So he was charged and convicted of sexual assault?AFLcrap1 wrote: Sat Feb 16, 2019 1:23 pmMickey o the great swans ambassador plus friends paid 200k hush money
You mean this incident?John Elliot admitted Carlton paid hush money to (allegedly)sexual assault victims
Former Carlton officials have hit out at former president John Elliott's claims women were paid hush money to keep rape allegations quiet. Some in football circles say the claims were a publicity stunt. But Mr Elliott says he can't elaborate on his story, simply because he's too old to remember those involved.https://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/w ... ns/1329368
Furthermore, were charges even laid in these cases? Accusations were made, a small amount of money allegedly changed hands, alleged by someone who cant remember the specifics, and none of the allegations were investigated by police or tried in court. That's your proof?
he has stated he won't violate a confidentiality agreement between two consenting parties. Fair enough too. If these women were really aggrieved I'm sure they could refuse the money and make a complaintGilty is fine with it . Which to me is disgusting ..protect the image protect the image ..at all costs
So it would come as no surprise if it is happening regularly .
BS, hush money has happened in the NRL, just not for an alleged criminal offence. At least in RL our dirty laundry( & there's stacks of it at the moment) get aired . No cover ups .

hush money is to settle an issue without progressing to court. Do you believe hush money proves guilt? Do you believe it proves criminal activity was involved?AFLcrap1 wrote: Sat Feb 16, 2019 2:52 pmLol defend defend defend .

Re: NRL boss Todd Greenberg declares off-season a 'train wreck'
You're very naive. In the case of celebrities or public figures plenty of payouts are made to keep matters outside the public eye, even if the issue or incident isnt significant or criminal. The fact none of these incidents result in criminal charges or convictions means you are assuming guilt without proof.AFLcrap1 wrote: Sun Feb 17, 2019 12:38 amIf you pay someone to shut up it means you have something to hide ..

Re: NRL boss Todd Greenberg declares off-season a 'train wreck'
Oh dear .
Well if I was a woman sexually assaulted by an AFL player I would have no choice but to take te hush money .
You are up against the AFL
The media..who will portray you as attacking the wonderful young AFL role model .
The police ..who will half arse the investigation ..lose evidence....forget to interview people
Won't take DNA samples ....just basically ensure that you have no case .
Lol then you have the vIc judges who seem to be lenient on players ( for any case ) because they could be future firemen
How do you think a normal everyday female can go up agains all that
The offer of $$ is all you have .
& you say I'm naive ..Jesus .at least I'm not brainwashed with my head up my arse .

You have an incredibly vivid imagination. You are also very good at making assumptions. If there are no charges laid, and therefore no investigation, you are assuming guilt.AFLcrap1 wrote: Sun Feb 17, 2019 9:38 amOh dear .

Lol what I posted was facts .
You should try to step back from the insular AFL good bubble & look at how females who dare rock the AFL boat are treated .
I will repeat ...cops lose evidence
Cops don't interview witnesses
Cops don't do DNA tests.
What hope has a young women got .
Who as an ordinary working person has the time & $$$$ to fight a powerful organisation like the AFL .

Re: NRL boss Todd Greenberg declares off-season a 'train wreck'
What is the use ..
You will just try to justify it as you usually do .
I don't think you appreciate the power the AFL has in VIC .
But here goes
Also read up on the poor Dect investigating the Stephen Milne case .
Life was made very hard for him from others in the force ..especially those who followed his team..st k I think .
The below article explains how they didn't even try ..yet apparently they did little wrong .
No wonder women don't want to come forward .

1. Milne's case was f'd up, and possibly due to a couple of dogdy cops who mishandled the original complaint because they followed the club Milne played for. But to cliam the AFL have some sort of power over the way police as an organisation conduct their business is hogwash. Furthermore, Milne was eventually charged and convicted, so why werent the police influenced then?
2. There is no suggestion of AFL influence mentioned in any of the investigations into the police investigations, nor any suggestion it's a common occurance. Yes a few cops messed up, but that does not equate to the allegations you are making
