So you know for a fact that these latest participation figures are lies do you?
I can only go on past history .
Caught out lying multiple times
Was highlighted by Lawson .
Another report was never done .

So why should I trust what they release .
So that’s a no?

It would be like ... how can we trust nrl crowd figures given past history .

Yep you can question RL crowd figures .
Yep in the past crowds were fudged .
So no problem with questioning any .
As yet no proof it's continuing...

I will question AFL participation figures because the AFL don't admit they lied .

They just ummm ahhh ..we made a mistake & gave you the wrong numbers ..
& do it again
& again .

If you can't see the difference ..you're blind .

Or maybe your blind hatred of Australian rules football is getting in the way ... it’s like a kid putting his fingers in his ears and shouting not wanting to hear what is said as he doesn’t like what he is hearing.

Australian Rules Football is growing in non traditional areas. Just today I read an AFL footballer was inducted as a legend into qld hall of fame ... a Queenslander!!

Numbers are strong and growing... despite the poor performance of AFL clubs in qld. Western Sydney is seeing new clubs pop up and local Rl people are raising concerns about the growth of Australian rules. You just can’t deny the facts.

Then we see this re growth of Rl in nsw.

Key NSWRL participation statistics

Total females playing Rugby League increased by 63 per cent year-on-year.
Female senior (19+) participation has doubled year-on-year.
The Cronulla district recorded a 12 per cent year-on-year growth across male and female participation.
Male participation in the Eastern Suburbs and North Sydney has grown.
Retention across male and female age groups has increased.

There’s some spin there that ke would be proud of. Given they mention that male “participation” is up in only eastern suburbs and north Sydney are we to assume there was no growth or a decline in others? Also no figures given. And retention has improved... no figures... but good on them for keeping players from leaving the game. I await the analyse of the annual report from wookie as to these figures.

Is there a total breakdown of numbers like the AFL do?

The nrlol has been caught out for decades lying about crowd numbers!

The nrlol participation numbers are more fudged than the AFL ones, yet you continue to ignore that

Oh dear . You re enforce my point . my point .

You fumblers just can't bring yourself to admit that your sport has been caught out bullshitting/ lying about numbers .

Why is that .
I've admitted that in the past RL has been caught fudging ...
Yet you mob just can't bring yourself to admit it.
Lol being brainwashed by the cult will do that .

Oh & the nrl participation numbers are not more fudged than the AFL ones .

They're both bullshit .

I think the AFL breaking it down to actual club registered players is a good move. Easily verifiable. I do agree terms like participants and experiences are rubbish but once you get beyond that and look at how these figures are come to as the AFL do the. You get to see the real picture.

And yes I agree, going by what has been written on here, the the AFL tried to pull the wool over the eyes of whoever those figures for birchgrive were for. I think that is why we now see the breakdown of AFL figures as we do

Well I'm calling bullshit on those numbers.

Funny how the report says 250,000 participants in NSW and ACT alone. YET the Australian Sports Commissions report for October 2015 to September 2016 says 635,000. Therefore 385,000 people only participate in AFL in the rest of the country.

Now either the NSW figures are a lie, or there has been a MASSIVE decrease in AFL participation across all the other states.

So like I said, I'm calling bullshit

I think as crapper and myself have been saying ... participation numbers are a catch all and really don’t mean anything. The AFL go on to break this down into club registered players, Auskick, school etc. club registered players is the kpi I would be looking st.

Fred. the data i posted was for participation rates, so even those figures show the AFL are lying. AGAIN

Participation as defined by the AFL Means little. It could an after school Auskick programme where the kid played in the mud all session. Look at club registrations ... easily verifiable bu club lists, insurance payments and data etc.

According to the PlayAFL website when searching for clubs in western Sydney there are barely any. I looked about 9 months ago and counted 25 or so? My football association in North West Sydney alone has 19 clubs. So not sure how they claim to have such a Massive growth etc. There are barely any clubs for that to occur in.
