He stood down most likely from pressure applied by the AFL. He wasnt sacked straight away because the AFL didnt want to influence the local leagues tribunal.

Your cynicism is astounding
Oh Dear
MOST LIKELY pressure .

I have no issue with the result, his ban looked appropriate, and the ramifications justified. I do find it funny how assumptions were made this would be a cover up to save the AFL from embarrassment. How'd that go? How did the supposed AFL friendly media go? All figments of our tossballer's imagingations, as usual
Never said there'd be a cover up
I said they usually try to minimise the damage or cover it up
Lol that was in reply to your claim that AFL will action .well they didn't do a fucking thing ..

As for the media
I posted an article yesterday ...lol

I have no doubt he was told to resign or he would be sacked.

Just to keep idiots like you happy? The right outcome occured in the correct timing, allowing for the matter to be heard by the competition's tribunal. So what if it was delayed a few days

UPDATE: GILLON McLachlan says Ali Fahour’s coward punch couldn’t be tolerated, the league boss accepting the diversity manager’s resignation on Thursday morning.

What official process ?
The fact he plays has nothing to do with his role as an AFL employee .
They're two seperate things
They could have sacked him straight away..

You have to remember the AFL is a big business. Unless there was a morality cause in his contract it's not something that may constitute instant dismissal. Trust me it's hard to sack someone these days.

I think appropriate action has been taken.

The fact he punched the guy not in the work place is why he cannot be sacked possibly. As you point out the two have no official bearing. A resignation was likely the only way to go.

Once again you are wrong Fred. Many occupations including fumbling have clauses in their employment contracts stating that if the employee brings the employer into disrepute outside of the workplace they can be sacked. Simple as that.

In any case this dill has now been charged by Police and the matter has become criminal. The epidemic continues.

So you've re posted something you said previously Freddo??? What's ya point??? There is no such thing as a morality cause (sic). There is such a thing as a bring your employer into disrepute clause (correct spelling) as I correctly pointed out. In any case what are you trying to say??

Have you got the team over for another night of working out responses to my posts Freddo? Lolololololololololol. Please consult with them about this one my friend.
