No... I have always said cumulative ratings are not a good measure ...anyway I think Aussie rules are winning at the moment In this country with the aflw etc included and even on the home and away season they should be in front come years end I think. Averages are of course the best measure ... as you have said previously, AFL have an extra game each week (although 2 run concurrently) ... and whoever wins that can rightly claim bragging rights as most watched competition (AFL v nrl) in Australia I feel. I think rl are in front in that regard anyway for home and away season?

I think AFL will do better cumulative wise then rl this year when we add in all the figures such as the women's comp. I think AFL is in front in that regard. In Australia at least. But as you point out AFL have 9 games and nrl 8. Averages are a better measure and I think rl would be in front. And if they are all well and good.

Plus don't forget our China ratings for the port games

Also, you carry on about a phone poll, the TV ratings are basically a poll where a few people representing thousands indicate what they watched. They are no more accurate. Furthermore, there are other polls which show the same AFL lead
