What you've got to realise is AFL poached and payed him big dollars. It really made AFL look pretty desperate actually. Paying NRL players a fortune who had no interest in AFL prior to contact offers.

Is'nt it funny how the NRL or Union has never found the need to poach AFL players for first grade.
No AFL player has ever made first grade Rugby League and no AFL player probably ever will.

they were poached for one reason only, to help promote the game in new markets, which is why they played for the 2 new teams. Why would the NRL do this when thye havent introduced a new team in an AFL market for nearly 20 years?

Yeah which was a huge failure and waste of money on AFLs part.

I think an AFL player would have to bulk up indeed which is not hard ... and would depend on position as well. Just as hunt and falou had to trim down and increase aerobic capacity. But you are correct .., be easier to get someone from union as game is similar.

Still to this day i do not understand why they got Folau for Western Sydney... "Giants"

he Played for Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos and Played for Maroons..

He was a winger and had little kicking skills..

I think it was a poor attempt to appeal to the islanders in the area... who knows?

On one hand they were saying they were giving the smaller white kids a chance to play at another sport instead of getting smashed by much bigger poly kids .
Then they get a poly to try to attract the poly community to fumbles .

they get a QLD SOO player to promote fumbles in west Syd .
Anyone with an IQ above .5 knew that it wasn't just dumb ....it had gone way past that

It was a giant fuck up from day 1
The only winner was Falou who banked a fortune & the Rl community that got first class comedy from it .

The exposure was'nt good exposure though.

Any code that puts so much time money and investment in a player and then for them to quit early is pretty embarrassing.

well 10% are indigenous Australian, plus from number of from other Fiji, Sudan,Asia, Middle east etc.

I'm not sure how good your maths is but that would seem to add up to more than 100%

Of course the game is mainly Caucasian, that's what Australia is primarily made up of

LOL keep talking out of your arse. AFL can't even form decent teams to play Australia from all these so called nations.

AFL has even postponed it's indigenous all stars match till 2019. I am guessing due to lack of good players.

When AFL can form international games which tv networks want to buy and crowds want to watch. We might actually take what you say half seriously.
