This is a pointless thread nothing but the usualy RL posters who dont like the game making up criticisms. Im just about sick of this forum's BS. Want to argue about a specific point fine but this is just BS!
I tend to agree with Swannies on this one..

these kind of threads should be moved to like the KIDS lounge to fight over..
they are kinda pointless.

Please in future people lets post true point articles that are worth discussing..

I thought it was just forwards as it actually impacted your ability to handle the ball. Hence those forwards that did wear them took them off when kicking for goal.

the AFL has cracked down its its rules what gloves can be worn. IMO now days players reasons for wear for wearing gloves would be mainly due to protecting injuries

The game is making such steady and relentless progress against League which is completely unable to show its face outside its haven states that reason would argue "Let it rip"
What kind of drugs are you smoking Laniger. Melbourne Storm is averaging some of the best crowds in the NRL.

State of Origin has had a bigger crowd in Melbourne than any AFL game in history that has been played in NSW or QLD.

While the Kiwis vs Kangaroos had a great crowd in Perth.

I am sure if they played the super bowl at the mcg it would be packed too. Doesn't mean grid iron is making high progress in Victoria.

When you say hockey pads do you literally mean hockey pads (whatever they look like) or are you referring to padding in general ?

Swines said hockey pads.
I said bullshit .
What's amusing is the discussion was about catching/ fumbling a ball .
I posted a pic of AFL players wearing grip gloves to help them catch
What hockey pads have to do catching a ball .....fuck knows .
I'd say just the usual deflection measure from fumblers .

Yeah see your point.

Just wanted to check whether he meant actual hockey pads (if there is such a thing) literally or as a broad description of say a large pad.

He said hockey pads

Yes he did but again this maybe where you sometimes see things as black or white. He may (or may not) be referring to large pads ... that's the way I took it.... or he may be referring literally to pads used specifically to hockey. If someone says it was as big as the Empire State ... I do not necessarily think they literally mean it was that size but that it was big. When swans said they used hockey pads I took it as they had large pads, when you questioned as bs I asked him to clarrify ... was he being literal or using a colloquialism or similie.

By the way... I can see you took it literally and not questioning that... just clarifying for myself.
