I will say it again . I agree rl is much much bigger than AFL in nz. Did not you read my posts. It is much much bigger in nz than the nrl is in Victoria ... which I thought I said all along or at least clarified as such.

Did i say that? I have always thoight rl had some following in nz. Union is the sport though. Maybe i was saying AFL is as big in nz as rl is in victoria. But yes i think rl likely has a much bigger presence in nz than it does in victoria.

I think I was trying to have a go at the size of rl in Victoria. I know damn well that AFL is small in nz... minuscule. I know Rl has a good following in nz. I even, when questioned, clarified and stated I agreed? So I am not sure how it was read that I was saying anything negativr about the size of rl in nz but hey my fault and apologies as obviously a few took it that way. So my bad. My sole intention was to have a dig at the inroads rl has made into Victoria. But again, obviously it did not come across as this.

Personally, I could not care less about the size or popularity of rl anywhere outside Australia.

NRL in Melbourne can sell out crowds and get big ratings throughout the year..

AFL in N.Z doesn't even register on the TV figures... even for the Grand Final..
and then AFL Grand Final is played in Prime time into N.Z with nothing else on..
