The intricate rules around international rugby league reflect how the code of rugby league has truly embraced multiculturalism in Australia. Nothing more.
Of course those one eyed AFL supporters on here wouldn't understand it. Their code is a reflection of Australia during the white australia and assimilation policy eras. Their code is reflective of the diversity of cultures present in Australia during the 1950s.
My fellow RL supporters please, go easy on the AFL bumpkins on this one. They really don't have any experience or knowledge whatsoever in regards to this so I say we forgive them and instead refocus this thread onto the importance of removing the one white parent policy currently in effect in the AFL.

yeah spazza a only a few decades ago, internet connections, mobile phones not every one owned them or had an internet connection n their home believe it or not...
to call interstate or over seas was expensive and so was flying.
you keep showing your self up with what little knowledge you have of anything.
Australia is only a small populated island, when you compare it to the hundards of millions of people from europe and to the millions of europens that have settled across th world,
its a simple case, union so popular world wide why isnt league

Australia is a very isolated small country spazza. communication technology has only been around for a few decades. who is going to even know about the events happening in Australia before those times.

Ok you poor bastard, lemme fill you in with a dose of reality.
1. Australia is not a small country, neither is it isolated. It is a nation which has been closely tied to the northern hemisphere for hundreds of years and before that close links were made with neighbouring northern Asian nations for hundreds if not thousands of years more.
2. Communication technology has been around for hundreds of years. In 1872 it took 7 hours to send a message from Adelaide to England. 1872 was almost 150 years ago. People knew what was going on in Australia back then and before.
and finally adumb, I wanna thank you

that paragraph was exquisitely dumb, so stoopidly worded it had me cackling for minutes! I mean

But but but but
lol your a fucken moron.
communication has been around for centuries carrier pidgin telephones, lol
its only the last few decades with technology such as internet & digital communications, sat alight has made it really accessible for people to look up to find out what AFL it.
to make standard long distance call was expensive to the other side of a state let alone over seas!
so in your simple little mind people are going to be calling up other countries to let them know about AFL or even set up a carrier pigeon with a note about AFL!
simpleton
now your turn to answer the question why isnt league known world wide or nearly as popular world wide like union is? similar stupid games except one is popular & one isnt.
i doubt even the international AFL player rules are not as pathetic as the NRLOL
play for one country, cant make the grade or don't like the color of that shirt play for another color

INTERNATIONAL rugby league is set to be turned on its head, with eligibility rules being overhauled to ensure players aren’t forced to choose between Origin and their heritage country.
The Rugby League International Federation’s landmark decision means players such as Anthony Milford can represent a tier-two nation, such as Samoa in Milford’s case, without ruling themselves out of Origin contention or playing for the ‘Big Three’ — Australia, New Zealand and England.

If a player is not selected for one of the major nations, they are then able to represent nations including Fiji, Samoa and PNG and switch between the tiers without suffering any repercussions.
The move is in the final stages of being formalised and has received unanimous support from the game’s 18 full member nations, with the changes to come into effect by October 1.
Next year’s Rugby League World Cup will benefit in a huge way, with the likes of Milford (Samoa), Jarryd Hayne (Fiji), James Tedesco (Italy) and Robbie Farah (Lebannon) just some of the players able to represent other nations if overlooked by Australia without hindering their chances of future rep selection.
“These rules will allow the best players to represent their countries and ensure that the fans will get to see the best product whenever international rugby league is played,” 2017 Word Cup CEO Andrew Hill told foxsports.com.au.
IVE bumped this to highlight the constant lies told by dingbat across multiple threads .
He posted this article which explains clearly how a player if not selected to play for one of the top 3 nations can then be eligible to vote play for his country of heritage .
No where does it say they can just pick or choose a country to play for .
Step right up dingbat .
I called you out many times the last few days when you were spamming multiple threads with your tripe .
I asked for proof over & over
As usual you didn't post anything .
I've just highlighted what a lying obsessive tool you are .
