Doesn't really matter what all the reasons are I for one think that a bigger stadium may also attract RL teams and A League games there could be a variety of reasons but a 36k stadium would clearly benefit the Giants.
rectangle grounds are pathetic on oval grounds.
it does nothing for the footy codes
bar the giants cricket and easter show..
Then why does St.George play at SCG? I don't in this day and age it is as big of a deal as it is made out no one seemed to worry about it back in the day when we didn't have big screens at the ground.
ST George Play one game a year and is against South Sydney..
it is like a Old Tradition Game (like back in the olden days lol)
It is very bad viewing for a rectangle code on a oval..
especially when you are watching from the sideline and the action is 50 meters away.

Is that why they off set the playing surface?? But didn't spectators in the 80's not care it was only when you got the SFS that they had rectangle sports ground (aside from Brookvale which I think was rectangle).

They didn't know anything different (it was the biggest stadium by far)
ofc there were other smaller grounds
but for the big games they were played at SCG
that is why ANZ Stadium suxs You are to far away from the Game it self..

A win by Western Bulldogs will be a win for the game..
any bad press down in Melbourne about GWS claiming the crown...

I think gws need to lose as it will be bad for them i think. A loss will highlight the team and set people up for higher expectations next year and going forward. A win this year many will see as manufactured. I would also hate to see wb win gf as clearly not the best side this year. Geelong for me.

Not really they more or less talk about the powerful team they have if they win two in a row it will fire up. I really hope WB win thru I'd like to see them go all the way even though I want the Swans to win it. Only because they have done it tough but they have proved draft picks and money doesn't guarantee success. Just look at Richmond!

Have to disagree Fred - win for GWS will be a win for GWS - as for Geelong I can't stand them they only have Selwood and Danger aside from that Hawkins is a hack, maybe Enright that's about it. Just have never liked them their a VERY strange lot in widow city!

Wtf would Canterbury fans head to spot the fan stadium?
Is it, let's straighten out a couple of bent coat hangers round or something?
