Yes, a larger number of viewers is a pretty good indication (up 20% this year Beau) - Certainly a better indication than crowds or membership figures how many pets deo you have beau? :_<> :_<> :_<>

Largest Grand Finals 2 of the past 3 years.

Biggest sporting event in the country for the past 3 years.

Made the most money these past three years.

How are your ratings going by the way?
larger number of viewers? The best rated game so far this year is an AFL game. A game that also rated better than any home and away NRL game last year, and probably any year.

Are you basing your view on SOO? :?>

Made the most money! :(/ Are you THAT stupid??!! They make about half what the AFL do. They just happen to spend less also. Tats probably the reason why they play in shit stadiums every week
Don't get cocky. At the end of the day we all know State Of Origin blows pretty much every AFL match out of the ballpark. Only the AFL grand final is competitive with it.

Hahaha you lost 18 mil last year

They made 0, nada. Zip, zilch they lost half the 49 mil they made the year before (so much for a futures fund!). No doubt losing Smith will also result in additional costs in the equation PLUS the downturn in TV ratings this year and crowds. Oh dear falling down! Hahaha
Mate AFL has a lot more expense than that just on the Suns and Giants.
BETWEEN 30 & 40 MIILLION MORE THAN FORECAST. THEY ARE BASICALLY BEING PROPPED UP BY THE AFL.

AND THE BRISBANE LIONS IN THE SHIT 13 MILLION. EVEN AFTER WINNING ALL THOSE PREMIERSIPS.

the AFL have just as much non-TV revenue as Tv revenue, so they can afford to spend up. The NRL make far less but still lose money

The NRL is still in the best position finacially it has ever been with this new tv deal.

And the end of the day AFL is just a one trick pony. Has no luck selling it's sport anywhere outside Australia and has only one competion in ONE COUNTRY.

I guess that's why you were pressing so hard for so many years to get a presence over there, But in the end it all turned to shit like everything else in your game.

Haha, the Championship of Rugby League in England is more National and International at the same time than the European Super League itself. Top tier has no London clubs, Welsh or Canadian while only the Catalans from France are vying for SL silverware. The National league one structure has.

Rochdale Hornets (Manchester)
York
Keighley (Leeds)
London Skolars
Doncaster RLFC
Toulouse (France)
Barrow
Newcastle Thunder
Hunslet (Leeds)
Crusaders (North Wales)
Gloucestershire
Coventry
Hemel Stags
South Wales
Oxford

And Toronto next year.

Makes a mockery of the European SL in a way, yet the good thing about it all is the promotion and relegation, if you have the facilities, money and ambition, the sky is the limit, if not, you can find your level down the lower tiers and produce juniors for the league instead. Worked so far for 120 years, be interesting to see what the SL looks like within the next 5 years. Could have cities from just about anywhere in the Northern hemisphere representing them.

the idea was to promote the game to increase participation, which has happened. They were never going to suddenly create a new team

Think your getting mixed up with AFL in these countries. So minor that it's non existing.

Guess it must be hard to sell a Victorian game that has been ignored by the world for over a hundred years and gives points for missing.

But but... lol
