NRL smashed AFL out of the ball park in the grand final peak total rating by almost half a million viewers.
Your AFL games rate so poorly in NSW and Qld that they get shown on 7mate instead of 7.
The AFL footy show is shown in the graveyard shift in NSW and Qld it rates so poorly.
=D> =D>
And lets not forget that AFL international cup that can't even get a tv network.

and the AFL had won the GF comparison the majority of the years for the previous decade. GF ratings vary with how close the match is and who plays
You think AFL rates poorly in Sydney? What about 9k for the NRL in Melbourne?

GWS ran over the top of the locals to clinch a 1.17.11 (122) to 2.9.11 (83) win in front of just 1,504 fans.

Oh you mean the PRE season friendly involving two shitty clubs?
NRL just started, yet many of em especially in Sydney shamefully, struggle to beat attendants at pre season games of Vic, SA and wa
Hell, even at times the 2nd grade comp in wa, SA and Vic beat attendances in first game matches of nrl.

What any match? Ha. Take your pick.
For many years now vfl, SAFL and wafl average up to 10k in finals matches sometimes 15. With the gfs averaging up to 20k.
NRL struggle to reach 20k these days in so called home of rugby league of Sydney.
Some even barely scratching 15k and the occasional 10k game. Quite embarrassing.
Hell, over the last year's, even training in grandfinal week in the AFL has been higher then some matches in the NRL haha

Yes within the state obviously. But nationally it is still 2nd grade aussie rules. Or 2nd tier.

Beep beep beep .
Back that bullshit truck up
If you play at the highest level in your state comp ...you're playing first grade .
& why are you talking finals .
Qld cup games get bigger crowds to finals than some fumble teams get to games
So how about a like v like comparison like you were insinuating
State club games v NRL .

Yes first grade within their corresponding States. But overall they are 2nd tier leagues nationally within the sport. As is qld cup and NSW cup.
Good on the qld cup for the occasional decent attendance. Also better then some NRL matches.
