Lol .
Nice sidestep .
Fact is I'm right .
One sport has held their crowds .
3 others have dropped a lot .
Those 3 have the bandwagon support

Considering Swans have 12k more members in a city with 2 AFL clubs, 2 A League clubs, 9 RL clubs and 1 RU club - Broncos have to be seen as a complete failure!

A crock of shit by dumb vicderpians who want to believe tha fantasy of AFL taking over .
RL is king by a long way in Qld .
Especially in Bris
Is that why Brisbane has one NRL team?
Lol.
Does it matter .
The Broncos average has not fell below 30 k in the last decade .
Every other sport has had large drop offs in crowd numbers .
Bandwagon ....yes for sports that aren't RL
Imagine if Melbourne had 1 AFL team, they'd need to put a grandstand around Flemington to cater for everyone, 30k average is a bit 'meh' for a one team town in a city the size of Brisbane.
Lol
That's not the topic .
The claim was made that Brissy is a bandwagon town for all sports .
That's wrong .
Try to keep up incest old chap
You're right Phillip, Brisbane isn't a bandwagon town, to be a bandwagon town you need to actually get on the wagon at some point, 30k crowd average is like a bandtrolley town.
the thing i am trying to get at with the broncos they have rarely missed the finals series in their whole history. they have been a very successful top preforming side onfield, & whored out by their owners News ltd in their media out lets for publicity. they years the broncos have missed the finals, their crowds have dropped few k.
the crowds drop a few k one year missing the finals, what would happen to them if they ended up a basked case like the lions for a decade?
the last time they missed the finals, the alarm bells rung & Wayne bennett was brought back at all costs, it cost the club millions.

AFL fans in Sydney are lonely, they need to sign up all their pets.

I think Brisbane needs a rival in the west (Ipswich)
1 team towns tend to get boring,
I think it would only help the broncos not slash them.
Ipswich is 40mins away.
This would also help the Roar and the Lions... If the support was there which it is not.

You may be right but isn't Brissy a RL town of 2.274 yet they only have 28k??? Would have expected at the least 50k

Furthermore even Sth Syd, St.George, Paramatta and Canterbury look better when considering the congestion in Sydney e.g
Brisbane 28k members - 4 professional clubs - 2.275 mil pop = only .048% of population.
Paramatta 19.5k members- 14 professional clubs - 4.84 mil pop = .056% of pop.
By comparison Paramatta is doing better than Brisbane!

Getting off topic girls .
Bris is not a bandwagon city for RL.
Other sports yes RL no .
The crowds provide the proof

Look I agree Broncos fans are not bandwagon fans. But don't you think they are under-represented for a city of 2 mil. Weren't they averaging a lot higher 10 yrs ago?

Yeh that is a true point..
that is why Sydney is the real heartland..
sick of these people calling QLD the heartland
Brisbane should be doing a lot better..
and I think another team would help to that..
NRL missed the boat.
they should be getting sub par 40k crowds each game
I think they are at 35k of late.

When the south qld crushers came in, both sides had a healthy average until shit hit the fan on april fools day 1995, the crowds were really good until the competition split and News Limited's courier mail more or less destroyed the broncos only opposition, nice work news limited, gotta keep that nice cartel for yourself going.
Broncos averaged 35,902 and South Qld averaged 21,029.
http://afltables.com/rl/crowds/1995.html
Plenty of room for another team, heck they could put another two in if they really wanted.

Any will do, as long as that cartel is broken up, I reckon it would do the Broncos a world of good to have a real proper local rival.
