LOL again. No, what it shows is that despite the NRLs much hyped rep games and internationals, the AFL is still bigger on TV. Which is funny given the NRL is promoted as a TV sport, and the AFL more a live sport with over double the attendances.

The AFL HAD alot more FTA games with bigger reach
This will now change.
Abit of stuff up if they have officially lost fta saturday game
Potential 1million viewers every Saturday
But if on fox will have to settle for 300k

the NRL plays most games in prime time and their heartland is the most expensive advertising market in the country. They also show almost all games in isolation while the AFL show most of their games concurrently. This means the NRL have far far more individual games shown to their entire market compared to the AFL, some 7-8 per round compared to the AFL's 4-5. Ratings are also misleading given the NRL's games are averaged over 2 hours, and the AFL over 3.

Again the AFL can change this if they want
They could for one only do 2 halves
Not 4 quarters
Like the nrl
See how much that effects the AFL deal

And the nrl could extend their game time but their average rating would fall affecting their tv revenue

it was on their news. Multiple media outlets are saying the NRL will get $2b max after naming and international rights, leaving them about $17m short of the AFL per season
Now if the NRL do secure the deal you say then....
*the NRL secure a 2billion deal over 5 years or 400million a year.
Then Compare that to,
*The AFL have secured a 2.5 billion deal over 6 years or 416million a year
Then the following needs to be taken into consideration...
* it's more expensive to run an AFL team than an NRL team
* AFL has 18 teams, the NRL 16 teams.
* those two extra teams amount to 1 extra AFL game each round H&A than NRL.
*the NRL deal includes representative fixtures (SOO, test matches, internationals, world club and cup, 4 nations, 9s), AFL can not offer anything similar in their offers.
*the NRL has interest from overseas TV markets that AFL doesn't.
SO....
*the NRL Deal works out to be
$25.0million a year for each team , where
operational costs are cheaper than their AFL counterpart, in Australia the
NRL has yet to expand to all potential markets and internationally the NRL is yet to expand in acouple workable locations. The
NRL still has strong growth possibilities.
Whereas,
*The AFL deal works out to be
$23.1million a year for each team. An
AFL team is more expansive to run than a NRL team and the AFL deal means almost
2million less per team than NRL deal. The AFL has almost
reached absolute maximum in growth/expansion in Australia and internationally the game does not have any potential growth markets outside Australia. So the
AFL have more or less reached the peak in what the game can offer TV broadcasters.
Yeah tell me again which one is better lol?!?!

Who released it .
Not the NRL.
I'll wait for the media conference .
& If ..& it's a big if the current deal has been re negotiated with an extra 300 mill for the last 2 yrs of the contract ,that would mean that the current NRL contract is larger than the aflol .
But there's so much bullshit flying around its best to wait & see .

so so far the two deals are virtually even...
no not really, the NRLOL do not play their games early afternoons like the NRLOL tv geared scheduling. the NRLOL has all its internationals, 4 nations RL WC & SOO & other snore fest events
compared to the AFL's H&A season, & nab challenge a series of practice games
You posted this same lie yesterday .
I corrected you but you just plough on .
Fuckhead doesn't begin to describe you .
Fri nights ...both codes in prime time .
Sat arvo ..NRL afternoon game ..wow you claim we don't play in the afternoon ...AFL afternoon game .
Sun ..NRL early afternoon ...sometimes midday ....AFL afternoon .
You are a dead set ****** .

What's this 'per team' shit????
You have more rounds per season, SOO, internationals, far more isolated games per round and per year, and and stronger ratings in the biggest advertising market in Australia.
Yet we still got more!
