AFL TV DEAL

has taken a hit to the fans of SA AND WA

In Western Australia and South Australia, Foxtel and the Fox Footy Channel will exclusively broadcast live three premiership season matches for each of the teams based in those states – West Coast, Fremantle, the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide – with those matches to be replayed on delay on free to air television.

still FTA delayed coverage in this day in age ...
A lot of games in Perth are delayed anyway. As are sreveral of the Adelaide ones. This makes little difference
Wookie , what happens under you next deal with GWS and Suns ? Without regular TV coverage they'll be bigger basket cases than they are now.
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

why would they? Who else is going to buy them?
Use your Head wookie

Put yourself in Fox shoes

They are loosing subs to online Netflix/Stan etc

Do i offer to buy all 8 NRL games to up my subs in NSW or QLD or do i just keep the 4 and see my business loose a shit tone of subs over the next 5 years.

Easy, Fox will purchase all games simulcast because its the best way to hold onto those subs in NSW and QLD and potentially pick of some more subs along the way.

Fox will pay a hefty price to do this as they should being the biggest ratings sport on Fox.

Thats not an answer. Again, if Fox dont buy them who will?

Use your own fucking head. The NRL screwed up here. Theres no demand for these other four games. There are no streaming providers in the wings for this. Ten are practically in bed with Fox, and Seven are loaded up with the AFL. Who is going to buy these? I mean the NRL could just not sell them I suppose.
You really think fox could survive iin Aust f hundreds of thousands of subscribers said fuck you fox .

By your logic i could have said the same thing about AFL, if Fox dont buy them who will...

Sorry that is not a bargining chip and not a sound reason as to why Fox will not want all 8 games.

Watching, reading and hearing leaguies everywhere go into meltdown is fucking hilarious.

Rupert will pay for this apparently. :(/ :(/ :(/

I think one of my AFL hating leaguie mates in Sydney summed it up best when I sent him link to TV deal. Since the NRL deal was announced he had been gloating. Sole response yesterday from him was.... "Fuck off"

Hahahaha, gotta love leaguies and how desperate they are to one day match us AFL fans and our code. Fucking hilarious.

Someone like Netflix.

Two of my sisters have dropped Fox and switched to Netflix - They rave about it. My parents only have Fox because of the football , I only have Fox because of the football. There are plenty of people like myself who would drop there subscription to Fox in a heartbeat if they didn't have the football.
