Lol .
Simply put for the simpleton .
If you have a ratings box & you are in an area that has metro & regional coverage......GC for example ,you can Still only be counted as one or the other .
NOT BOTH .
There is no double counting .
You are recorded as either a REGIONAL VIEWER OR METRO .
not both .
How fucking hard is that to understand .

The NRL grand final got record crowds last year also. :thumbleft:
Penrith vs Souths got a good crowd last Friday. :thumbleft:

Then when Canberra get a lower crowd against one of the smaller clubs in the NRL in 5 degree temperatures. Suddenly Rugby League is dieing and in trouble lol.. =D> =D>

Most of this talk of lowest crowds is just AFL propaganda. Is not even added up for the entire year of the NRL. That is how desperate you guys are.
Most of this talk about lowest crowds exists because the NRL season is currently enduring its worst crowd averages (to the end of round 17) since 2004 (thats measured against every other seasons rounds 1 to 17). Thats a fact.

You have a couple of games that sellout or nearly sellout at Belmore and Brookvale and think it covers the rest of what has been a piss poor season for attendances. And you dare say we live in denial and call it a conspiracy.
Yeah lets not mention other good crowds just to keep the AFL arguement going lol.. =D> =D>
Don't mention recent good home crowds for North Queensland, Brisbane, Penrith. A lot more than a couple have been good.
Sure there have been some poor attendances. But they are no where near as bad as a lot of AFL fans like to make out.

AFL have only one competion, nothing else credible anywhere else or in any other form and you probably never will. You have your eggs in one basket and that is it.

Rugby league fans have that much choice with that many games, sure there will be some low attendances.

4 Nations
Test Matches
State of Origins
City vs Country
The list goes on and on.

besides when you count the first 17 rounds, Origin, City v Country and ANZAC Tests (Finals, Four nations have yet to be played this year, and I cant find a reliable crowd figure for the Nines this year) - average crowds are still down 3% - despite gaining 30,000 extra people by playing Origin in a venue bigger than Stadium Australia (instead of 2 games at Suncorp).

The fact is the AFL kills your competition with all of its rep games included, when it comes to attendance, and by a long way. You just have to learn to live with that.
And you'll have to live with the fact Rugby League kills AFL with

-Total player numbers internationally.
-Number of 1st grade teams.
-Countries competitive.
-International interest.
-Higher total viewer numbers globally.

And AFL has no chance in catching up.

Before AFL go beating your chest about nrl, have a look in your own back yard. Yes AFL crowds are better then league, but let's not forget the fact that AFL total attendance in 2007-2008 with 176 games was greater than last year total attendance with 198 games. On average per game you are back around 1999-2000, expansion yes, but one would still expect that you would beat 2007-2008 attendance. :-+

The NRL COMP gets shitty Ratings   Go Jump!

we Equal the AFL even with 5 exclusive games just on fox sports.

Remember the AFL only get on average an extra 16k per game...
The way the games are shown across the states and the scheduling are different in the two codes.

The ratings are based on exaggerated numbers. And double counting for the some of the nsw and qld.
The AFL is ahead in every fact and figure yet you dipshits still try and argue that league is more popular :(/
Typical Vichead... The NRL has less coverage than the AFL but on an apples v apples comparison the NRL wins on FTA and Payv TV. And rep football makes mince meat out of the AFL

Tv broadcast have there own unique sound. The only double counting that goes on is in the AFL , where the same game can be watched on 2 devices..

I regard orgin a distant second to the NRL completion , and I would that most if not all rugby league fans think that way.

Simple answer for a simple question-it doesn't
But your feeble mind doesn't seem to be able to compute the information

The NRL has 72 club games on FTA + 9 Finals matches + about 10 other games.
The AFL has over 90 club games on FTA + 9 Finals matches.

The NRL has 120 matches on Fox.
The AFL have 198 matches on Fox.

Does this help?

Both organisations have negotiated there new FTA contract and we get the same result.
