Oh man, the NRL did so much advertising of the parra vs tigers game today during the week to get people to the game. Heaps of ads on TV, radio, internet and I saw a couple of billboards on the drive home from work. Didn't work much, 35 odd thousand from 85 odd thousand seats. Plenty empty. Why? Local Sydney derby between two western Sydney teams, the afternoon, started to clear in the sky, public holiday and I heard the ticket prices were reasonable. People not as passionate these days to make the small trip and support their local club.
