Brucey ur late to the argument champ but tell me. When an AFL player lines up to shoot for goal after he's taken a 'catch' (let's be honest, that's what the queens english tells us it should be called) are their 13 players who would do anything to stop the player scoring?

The fact it's a free shot at goal after a 'catch' completely negates ur argument re the wide scoring zone in rl my friend.

Now please , try again
"queen's English"???
Crikey! Now I understand your problem King. You harbour deep visceral yearnings to return to the home country. And you want to drag the rest of us with you.
Since when have Aussies spoken the Queen's English?
An early editor of the Sydney Gazette in the 1820s, Horatio Wills (now, there's a larrikin you should get to know) , acknowledged that Australian English was diverging from what you call the queens English, and that was only three decades after European settlers arrived.

Oh, and it was NSW-born Tom, Horatio Will's son, who called called it a 'mark'. He was never one to slavishly follow the English.

Alrighty then, now that that feather is rustled can you get to answering my main point yA stoopid galah.

There's no 'free try for missing in rl'.

Goodness me! King, the scoring zones in rugbies are the entire end of the paddock. Damned hard to miss a target when its that big. And when you put the ball down in there, you're a very good boy and you get a free kick.

But you have to get over the line .
A fairer comparison( if you are using the width of the field argument) is if RL players could score a try from 50 mtrs out ,if they had Inspector Gadget arms .
.
But they don't ,they have the width of the field ,but 13 men defending that width .
If they get tackled 10 cm out they don't get a consolation pt for being close ,but not quite there .

Aflol, players can kick from anywhere ,,do not have to get the ball anywhere near the scoring area before they take a shot .
But if they miss the 2 monster sticks ,they get an UNCO PT for trying & failing .
Laughable .
They should hand out PARTICIPATION RIBBONS to all players after the game .

No other footy code rewards missing .
You are either skilled enough to score ,or not

You hear the AFL delusionals carry on about how skillful their game is.

But when it comes to statistics. No other football code get scorelines in the hundreds like AFL.

Grid Iron Nope
Soccer Nope
Union Nope
League Nope

Not only this, AFL is the only code without a crossbar just to make it that bit easier to get those scores in the 100s.

Also no other code has an extra set of goals incase you miss either.

How can anyone take a game like this seriously is beyond fans of other football codes. :(/

So next time an AFL fan tells you about skill. You basically know it is a load bollocks.
Skill and League :(/ :(/

Run towards a line with no opponent. The opposition comes towards you, make the decision to throw the ball 7 meters to your left or right!

You league flogs are so jealious and insecure about your own piece of shit of a game. Alway paying out others to build up league! FFS league is the stupid and simplified version of union.

To play league, spend a summer in the gym Juicing up on the roids, then learn to run with the ball under your arm. Then once that is achieved, learn to how to multitask by running & throw the ball to your right, then off to the left!

Yet conversion kicks are all more difficult to score than any AFL goal lol.. Huge AFL fail. =D>

Conversion kicks in Rugby codes have a crossbar and no extra goals on each side incase you miss. Clear evidence that it is more challenging to score than AFL

Both rugby codes are easier to score points. I mean, haven't you seen how wide the in-goal area is? Wider than the wing span of an A380 Airbus! Whew!!
Yet 3 codes use this scoring format (League, Grid Iron & Union) and all score way less points than in an AFL game.

So bruce the goose, how can it be easier to score than AFL goals if they score less often?? =D>

So confused at the fumblers logic lol :-k

Have you noticed when they step back for their free kick, they POSE?

A very carefully practiced pose. A pose to lift the moment to an altitude of the highest drama!

A pose crafted and re-crafted over hours and hours at home in front of the mirror.

I replied to something you quoted .
That's not deflection.
It is pointing out how mind numbingly stupid you are .
You claimed
YOU RUN TOWARDS A LINE WITH NO OPPONENT .
Then say
The OPPOSITION COMES TOWARDS YOU .

Have a think about that .
How can you not have an opponent ,yet they are coming towards you ..

Lol the master of deflection & resident ****** is defending the resident gimp .

It's simple ,even you with your mental l deficiencies should work it out .
Dumbo owned himself ,contradicted himself.

He claimed there was no opponent in RL .then says the opposition is moving towards you .

Lol .

& Cuzzy why won't you go into the RUWC thread .
You told a big one there. Now you are running .
Grow a set .
Or are you sick of me pointing out where you continually lie .

You see that is called concentration when taking a conversion kick.

It is obviously not required in AFL because you know you still get a point when you miss a shot a goal.

AFL games mostly average a scoring shot less than every two minutes. The tension at a game is electric. The crowd in a sustained frenzy. The roar is deafening from start to finish, and you can't take your eyes off the play for a second because you'll miss something. Ahhhhh. That's our Aussie rules!

The scoring rate is one of the games' best features.

Slower scoring games? You can go to the toilet and when you come back, NOTHING has happened.
