you need something better to come back with eelsy, the crowd argument doesnt work when they're still better than your own
And knowing the way soccer goes in this country at a club level, in five years that soccer club's crowd will be zero and the Eels will be soldiering on. Three years is a little harsh for the Wanderers in my opinion, Raider Dave.

You mean like how Melbourne Victory have large crowd averages for the past 10 years? How Sydney FC average better than the Roosters at Allianz,

so yea 3 years LOL

Yeah lol, you just love putting your champions up against all teams be them winning or losing, why don't you ever compare apples with apples?

LOL

SFC haven't won anything for years, Roosters last won premiers plate or a grandfinal since 2010

Roosters 2013 and were minor premiers this year, yea I know it shouldn't be a fair comparison.

So the 2014 NRL season the roosters were defending champions, up against Sydney FC who haven't won since 2010, yet Sydney FC still beating them LOL

Melbourne Victory haven't won since 2009

Hardly as you said "you just love putting your champions up against all teams be them winning or losing"

Why put the roosters up there when the Rabbitohs are the champs and come from the same area?

I wouldn't be comparing sports mad Melbourne to fence riding Sydney if I were you.

Because Roosters home ground is identified as Allianz, and they were defending premiers

South Sydney premiers this year but hadn't won anything for 40 odd years, and they had their home ground listed as ANZ

So you wanted me to compare as close as possible but when that still showed the NRL up you wanted to compare differently. Wow

So, the Rabbits are from that area, they have not moved, their home ground is still at Redfern.

They represent all that area you idiot and always have since 1908, they should be put up against the likes of the Swans, Sydney FC, Eastern Suburbs and the Waratahs cause they are all based in the same place.

Yet they play their home games at ANZ? So I was using a team that played out of the same fucking home ground as Sydney FC. I have now explained that you a few times, are you fucking dumb? Do I need to use smaller words?

The only reason souths play at anz is because anz pay them too, if they could get a decent deal with the lot running the sfs, they'd be back there in a flash.

Don't you think that is a sad state of affairs, that a club only plays where they get "paid" to. I don't think South sydney are alone nor the NRL. But I think it is just sad. You should play where your heart is.

I think everyone is paid to play at ANZ to be honest, not just Souths. The NRL want to get away from suburban venues to make room for bigger crowds. But it's not working because a lot of fans won't travel and ANZ is not popular for the average fan. Passionate supporters will go no matter what, but the average fan is who the NRL should be aiming at. As they aren't, crowd averages are down compared to certainly the AFL who do a much better job with the average fan.

The NRL need to work harder in the Sydney suburbs.
