If you follow cricket you would have to be worried about crowd trends - fact.
It's a sign of panic when you have to resort to ratings as a retort.
It's also living in la la land to cherry pick attendance figures that aren't fantastic anyway and don't reflect soccer
outside of the big two cities.
It's also living in la la land to compare oranges with apples or even apricots,
that is to compare a football code to a stick sport or to make comparisons in different seasons.
It is a demonstrated fact that when we have a fair winter attendances rise for the football codes and vice versa.
If the GAA started up a summer league here in Australia you'd get handy attendances if played under lights on a barmy night.
well I didn't ask for themcos789 wrote:This thread is a good example of why TFC is irrelevant.

Let me guess, the only dying code or the code filled with evil lying manipulating people is Rugby League?cos789 wrote:This thread is a good example of why TFC is irrelevant.

A League playing in Summer has a number of advantages, the biggest being that it puts us in the same phase as Europe. Hard for you Rugby League boys to understand but we are a world game, our players move around the world. So putting us in the same cycle means that bringing in or trading players occurs at the "right time" ie the main transfer window occurs before and just as our season is starting, and the January Transfer window which is the smaller one occurs just like Europe during the halfway point.AFLcrap1 wrote:cos789 wrote:This thread is a good example of why TFC is irrelevant.

Oh my .
Sokka moved from winter to summer ,thus avoiding the 2 big winter sports .
Sokka fans scream how it is taking over ,RL is dying BLAH blah ,while sokka has no rival ,no competition .
Cricket comes along & obliterates Sokka .
So comparison is fair ..especially when fans big note how popular it is .
At least the winter sports go head to head .
& when did you open a fruit business . :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>

The other advantage, and one touched on previously, we have such huge numbers playing grassroots as well as NPL, that playing over summer allows the possibility of those people watching the games
