I can understand why the AFL want to get into Western Sydney, and I think WSW shows that their is a distinct identity that a team(s) from the region can have. By 2031 a further 1.3 million people will be living in Sydney, most of those in the NW/SW area (as well as infill in the inner suburbs) basically the size of Adelaide. So that is a huge market and huge potential that if you can harness the support you get Wanderers again and probably again. BUT, their is always a BUT, the desire for AFL is simply not there in the west, the North West has pockets but I just don't see the interest, unless expat Victorians.

GWS simply do not have an identity, The AFL got pretty much everything wrong with them, they took the position in my eyes of if you build it they will come, much the same way the FFA made a mistake with Heart, GWS was simply Not the Swans.

Yes GWS is a loooong project for them, but I just don't see them being a success at all, just my thoughts on it
Finally a sensible post
Congrats ,it took a while but you got there.

To add to what you said ,some other mistakes fumble house made were

Sending a geriatric Victorian up to Sydney & let him piss off as many people as he could.

RL FANS WITH HIS WHO IS HINDMARSH
Soccer fans with his immigration Dept joke.( & the fact that he was not pulled into line by One whitey parent ball bosses didn't help).

But to me the most laughable was the recruitment of Falou to try to get the large Islander population interested.
Comedy gold ,
After saying something along the lines of we are giving the poor little white kids another option as they are playing against far bigger poly kids in RL .
Then go & recruit a Poly RL player who had played for Melb & the Broncos as some sort of attraction for WS kids

Laugh a minute Victaardians..

LAURIE Daley’s NSW Blues have a new dream — to become a global sports juggernaut as powerful as the New York Yankees and Manchester United.

The first step in taking the Blues brand to the world came on Wednesday with league bosses finalising a deal to buy the Blatchy’s Blues fan club.

The passionate fan base — believed to be purchased by the NSWRL for around $400,000 — will be at the heart of a new membership system to be rolled out in coming months.
What do the rugby league guys think of this?

This will actively compete with the clubs for supporter dollars.

As for this? Looks like a crackpot idea if ever I saw one. It'll never fly simply because the blues only play 3 games a year and often one of those games is a dead rubber.

Very un NRL like and Lozza Daley should check his head out trying to unorganically promote something which has grown organically, SOO - the nations premier sporting event.

I happen to work in the media industry. Actually, i'm a big player at channel 9. And with a position like that, i have been given some very lucrative information. Let's just say the AFL is booming in the little island called New Zealand. I can't say anymore. Because i'm not losing my job over a bunch of Cellar dwelling virgins

What the fuck is wrong with you fumblers ?
:(/ :(/ :(/

One after another you post lies to try to impress people.
Instead you are laughed at.

We have a pretend soldier who is very very important ,if only we knew who he was.

An illiterate backward metho swiller who wants people to believe he runs a mine.

Now you MR Ch 9 , lol.
Thanks for the laughs.

Nice bit of deflection but you failed to show one bit of evidence to back up your bullshit claim.

That tells us plenty.

There is no evidence & you are like most fumblers on here ,& live in some alternate reality.
:))) :))) :)))

LOL AFL big in NZ, did'nt everyone leave after the second quarter when they played a game there last time?? Also the NZ government taxed the shit out of the AFL with their entertainment tax.
AFL has no credibility outside Australia man.
