The Wanderers match on Saturday will likely have a TV audience over 10 million, so you really want to talk about TV Audience? Now remember these are two club teams not a National Team or a representative team, but club teams, TV audience measured in the 10's of millions.

So you really want to talk about TV audiences?
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

Why limit only to Australia? I am not talking about using EPL figures here, I am talking about an Australian Club team playing a Televised match, why should we limit the Audience to Australian's only?

I know playing on the world stage can be foreign to you guys (excuse the pun) but the simple fact is, Football has a greater reach than either of the two oval balls, the simple fact is we will be measuring our TV audience in the 10's of Millions.

You don't have to like it but you have to accept it.

Not arguing how big sokka is ..
This debate is about how big the game is in Syd .how big the derby is.
So stop deflecting.
What don't you understand about that..

Let's discuss how big the Syd or AUST wide ratings will be for this game .

you're still new here but the moving of the goalposts is a common occurrence on here by the nrl nuffies

bring up crowds, they'll yap on about ratings

bring up international ratings, they'll yap on about crowd violence :_<>

bring up 11 arrests 38 evictions at the SOO, they'll yap on about 'greasy shirt lifters'

the derby was televised live in the uk through BT sport, live through all of south east asia through Ten Sport, live in germany, italy and the US. our reach goes beyond the boundaries of a single country

and like the DT says, it is the biggest rivalry in nsw! just let it sink in and stop being jealous nuffies

Why do you get to choose how it is limited? This game will be watched by 10's of millions of people world wide, not on delay, not on a highlights package, but live.

Why do you get to limit it to only Australia? Just because your code and your mind is limited to a couple of states and New Zealand, doesn't mean we have to limit ours. This is the biggest game that has ever been played at Wanderland, and it will have a massive TV Audience, something you couldn't actually dream about because you are limited in your view.

So I ask again why must it be limited to Australia, my sport isn't.

I didn't know it was going into Germany, that is great. I think I read Ten Sport was also showing it into India, did I hear correct.

I find it sad that these guys are so xenophobic, just because their sport limited to a few states and NZ, they have to try and limit everyone else.

I know advertisers don't. I am sure Visy are very happy that their sponsorship of the Wanderers (I was always surprised NRMA didn't take up the chance and use one of their Asian brands) But Visy made it clear they wanted to increase their exposure in Asia, I am guessing they are very happy with that.

FFA signed a deal with SPDTV in germany to broadcast 2 games per week live, rest on delay, all finals games live a few months ago.

ten sports is an indian company but are the #1 pay tv sports channel in the entire south asian region and every a-league game is beamed live through india, pakistan, sri lanka, bangladesh etc etc

star sports also televise the a-league in south east asia - malaysia, indonesia etc

we have tv deals in place all over the world, no other league in this country has the same reach, not even close. they can refuse to accept it all they want but it just makes them look even more adorable
