What a pu$$y, typical.
Probably won't average 100k as I said before, none of the games will bar half a dozen all year and maybe a few on or with SBS
So far they have ranged from 49k up to 200 for the opening Friday night SBS game simulcast on Foxsports.
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Bahaha, we are having a break for another week after a long season, we'll have the footy back next week which will no doubt go down in the top 25 programs of the year again, some could go as high as your beloved AFL prelims if things fall into place

probably because it's a double header, you need 4 international teams to draw anything above the 30k threshhold

You can say what you like, the stadium will be either full or pretty much full plus a massive TV audience along with it. Something soccer only gets with WC qualifying games.

Hey SYDFC 'sometimes less is more'. I think you need to stop, take a moment, then give the world your input... I like both RL and soccer but faarrkkk me dude your making it hard to side with you on anything, no offense but your comments here have contained so much bullshit that they wouldn't look out of place in the front pages of the daily telegraph.
The Sydney derby is a big rivalry but to say the biggest in Sydney is just not true.
When comparing to NRL/RL in Sydney it may get more attention than rivalries during the season, but during and around finals time it's a different story. Look at how big the roosters v souths or the bulldogs v souths was. Also state of origin kills the Sydney derby.
I do think the A-League Sydney derby gets more attention in Sydney's media moreso than SOME of the rivalries in the other codes due to afew factors. One factor is that it seems the Sydney derby has become the 'new in thing' to attend in Sydney for the causal sports fan in summer, much like swans games are from time to time. For the actual soccer fan the Sydney derby incites territorial instincts in the 'east vs west' clash, there is a clear divide between the teams, this added to the fact soccer as a sport is entrenched into Sydney's psyche that makes it a success. But trying to start an arguement that it's he biggest goes too far, that and trying to say the daily telegraph speaks the truth lol

Oh yeh and the fact the Sydney derby/a-league is played outside the NRL/super15/AFL seasons doesn't hurt aswell...
I do not think (remember I'm sayin this as a fan of the a-league) the Sydney derby or the a-league would be as successful as it is if the a-league season ran along side the other 'football' codes

predictions are sitting at 42-43k, they had to reconfigure seating just for this game, something they've not done for years and years
i'm just glad i have my membership and never had to worry about rushing for tickets :D
Hmmm
So the place holds 45k
But a crowd of 42k .. forces the scg trust to reconfigure allianz eh ?

ratings
yet why are the NRL participation & crowds so shit, if there was any truth to those ratings?
if they where really real, why can't they get more than a few people to bother showing up
