An run of the mill AFL player ... Probably one of the best rl players going around .... Oh if billy only played AFL !! He is a supreme althlete no doubt about that ... Also , was he a jockey or wanted to be one and did some stable work ?

plus they were both Yawnion players when they competed in the Rexona greatest athlete shows
not NRL players
so they'd both gotten fat , slow & soft
that sport is almost as good at ruining a good athlete as derpball is

our blokes have proven time after time , in many different generic sporting endeavours in many different scenarios
that they are far superior to our widdle fumblers

faster
stronger
with far better reflexes , response times , hand eye coordination ..... & vision
the making of this show was the worst thing that's ever happened to the fumbles & feebles
they were exposed to all as plodders
& pretty average plodders at that

He was played as an experiment in a team which was guaranteed last place in 2012. These were the facts:
According to Champion Data player ranking points, Folau's first season in the AFL grades him the 415th player out of the 416 to have played 10 or more games.
Spin it anyway you want. But from the little we saw of him, he didn't perform at an AFL level.

And on ur flip side argument I.e he was worth it for promo... Can anyone give us some evidence about the impact the AFL 7 odd million experiment with the more athletically superior rl folks made in the game re recruits???
Nup nuttin there neither. The most botched ridiculous spending of 7 odd million we've ever ever seen in sporting history in australia, most probably the WORLD. They coulda done so so so so so so much but they did SO so so so so so so little. The think tank down at AFL hq are no smarter than the dumbest of dumbest chimps on the planet.

Both were star rl players yet failed to execute simple AFL skills to the level required to be a regular player

It should be noted that former West Cooast player Adrian Barich did the same thing Folau did but for less money. He joined the Western Reds in 1995, but played only one game. its worth noting that he hadnt played in the AFL for three years at that point.
Folau was a failure at the sport, by his own admittance. He was good for the promotion of the code. Hunt was ok in a team that was fresh off the under 18s, but when they moved on, he didnt, and he got fewer games as a result. As a footballer, he was no better or worse than many who get drafted, play a few games and then get cut. He was very good for promotional value.
