the NRL without hesitation
it is the code going places
it is today ........... the most valuable sporting commodity in the country ... that's according to broadcasters .. not me
it is the elite comp of the most watched sport in this nation
it is the most watched comp in Australasia/ Oceania
its content is varied with domestic , state & international competitions
it has the 3 top most watched sporting events in the nation & it will take this show piece to Melbourne next year to an expected audience of 100K next year at the MCG
it has more then tripled its club memberships in 6 years
after just 1 year of establishing a commission ... it banked profits more then 3 times its closest competitor![]()
its overall performance as a sport in 2013 & so far in 2014
has been outstanding
the other mob are floundering

One comp has a level playing field ,with a far closer comp than its main rival.
(There is 6 pts between 1-13 on the ladder.).
Only 3 teams are out of contention for the 8.
How is the rival going..
One comp has a fair uncompromised comp ,all teams on the same $$$ salary cap.
The other has a joke of a comp where teams are gifted premierships & given extra $$$$$$$ ,other teams get preference in the stick insect draft.
I know which comp I would buy.

why else did news'ltd sell them off
the NRL is a dying game in Australia
AFL
its revenue is 500 million plus
more people watch it in Australia
the clubs can actually attract sponsorship
NRL
revenue of 300 million
just on 212million through broadcast rights, SOO makes another 30 million, the rest of the NRL makes stuff all money![]()
average budget of an NRL clubs is 15 million, 7 millions comes from the NRL commission in distribution, the clubs struggle to nake up the rest![]()
the NRL is an amateur shit show, that was brought by Kerry packer from the ABC to channel 9 thanks to the superleague wars packer vs murdoch grew in popularity.
the AFL popularity was built from the ground up, selling out grounds all around the place. something the NRL cannot do
