Damn, does that mean I have to actually like and thank Queenslanders for this great game of Rugby League?

I'll explain it - you see pissy pants theory is your popularity is ONLY measured by how many people watch on TV - not crowds, members, total football related revenue or sponsorship. A medium that polls only .09% of the population, which can't tell you the demographic, who is supporting who, who are members or even followers - because if they had that info it would undermine the whole of the TV ratings system and leave it open for manipulation (which IMO because ch9 is a majority share holder it already is!). Only this unreliable and very difficult to interpret medium is the ONLY reliable indicator - then again he also believes in soiling himself in public and bubbling!!!!! HahahaNlolRL wrote:Can a RL fan explain how RL is more popular on the Gold Coast but the Suns are getting far larger crowds?
NO it doesn't - it means that AFL is a national sport that has a good presence in NSW and QLD but are not the number one codes in those states - and there's nothing wrong with that - NRL on the other hand is still just an expanded NSW competition and is not National BUT can attract interest on a national level if there is the right event - e.g. SOOParraEelsNRL wrote:I suppose that means NSW is AFL heartland then.
There's interest in the super bowl etc doesn't mean gridiron is a national sort in Oz.ParraEelsNRL wrote:According to your other criteria, it must be.
Can;t have it both ways.
& how can The AFL be a national comp when there are no teams in One state & 2 territories.cos789 wrote:There's interest in the super bowl etc doesn't mean gridiron is a national sort in Oz.ParraEelsNRL wrote:According to your other criteria, it must be.

Be prepared Fred they will be telling you your a liar and delusional!!!!Fred wrote:AFL is the dominant code in tassie. It has a significant presence in nsw and qld . You can go almost any where in Australia and there is an opportunity to play AFL. You can also watch it on TV and listen on radio . It is by far larger and bigger than rl which is a very very minor sport in most areas outside nsw and qld . The nrl would love rl to have the national spread and interest AFL has outside their heartland. That's simply a fact.
