state of origin is awesome for rugby league but it has little to no relation to how well the nrl is doing is general. how many of the 4 million that tuned in will give a toss about games tonight(if there are games tonight, haven't checked my tv schedule)
How many.
far more than watch the ALeague .
Outside of Socceroos ,the AL has ratings that make the Giants look good.

That is why no commercial station is interested .
Good old SBS has to show it.
and they are doing a mighty fine job of it as well

the a-league ratings are a work in progress and have steadily improved year after year. i don't think a lot of other sports can say that

SO ?.
What are the National ratings?.
Using One city is not the whole picture.& the question was asked "HOW is the NRL doing in General"

What are the average AL ratings for a game (SBS) V An average AFL or NRL game .

Not in the same ballpark.

Well you were the one saying you cant judge the NRL on 3 SOO games.
I just showed that NRL is a long long way in front of AL .

because i was correct, you can't judge the success of the nrl based off the SOO because the two have very little to do with eachother

ive never said that the nrl wasn't well ahead of the hal, just that using SOO as a key part in your argument is scraping at the bottom of the barrel otherwise i'd use the socceroos vs the nrl and the same thing would happen

if it's simply a debate about nrl vs AFL then you'd obviously have to use games from those competitions - not outliers from different comps

You have to believe me ,im not really an AFL fan pretending to be a Soccer fan.

SOO is a part of the NRL season.Byes are scheduled around it.the players are from the NRL.
The Governing body runs both.

You fumblers hate the success so froth & foam & stamp your feet.
But just because AFL has nothing but its domestic comp you mob whinge & whine about SOO.

your sport is just as tiny compared to the might of soccer. it isnt even a contest infact, you're sport is even worse because it seems to want to label itself as an international sport when that in itself is a complete joke!

everytime i see threads on here about AFL flogging nrl in the ratings and in crowds, membership, revenue etc, dave your best comeback is that "we have a world cup, international sport derp!!!!"

looks like you cant handle the heat when the shoe is on the other foot!
