Essendon, Carlton and Richmond (3 of the big 4 vic clubs) are all sucking at the moment, that along with the annoyance of variable ticketing has resulted in the lower crowds in Melbourne this year. However overall crowds are about the same or even a bit up on last year mostly thanks to SA.

Whoa! That's some startling research you've undertaken there dave. Shocking how sharp the decline... Man, I spose its time the AFL wake up and smell the rotting pumpkins. With the asada saga, the uneven distribution of wealth and the blithering basketcase league, de cwowds were bound to follow suit and here it is - the startling truth right before our eyes. If I was a greeney trying to save the whales I'd stop in my tracks and jump on board to try and save the AFL :|

Trying to impress the broadcasters with new timeslots has been a mistake - hence crowds in Melbourne being down. That much is clear. If we are to believe the AFL, these unfriendly to fans timelsots will not appear in next seasons fixture.

Interesting I was watching Footy Classified last week and crowds in Sydney, Queensland, Adelaide and Perth are all up. Only Melbourne seems to be struggling.

When they announced variable ticket pricing I thought they meant they would lower the price of low-drawing matches, not gouge the blockbusters. Silly move that's bitten them hard.

Over all the league average is up on last year. The drop off in form of Richmond and Carlton has been offset by the new Adelaide Oval and newly developed SCG. Swings and roundabouts.

anyone notice that a lot of these nrl degenerates come from canberra?

self proclaimed drinker of piss, todd carney, once a canberra player
proud bestiality kink, joel monaghan, once a canberra player
nucklehead woman beater, blake ferguson, once a canberra player
social drunk josh dugan....once a canberra player

all of these degenerates got their start at canberra...something about that piss ant town seems to attract the worst of the worst..

then don't forget about their fans, female fans wanting to punch on with cops and then raider dave caught pissing on a child
