Sheesh adam, you're kinda contradicting yourself here. If khunt makes the team what does that say about the rest of the country's young up and comers? They must be real shithouse eh.mustn't take much to make the AFL then!
he wont, he will go socking of just like folau did, after making a joke of himself!
hunt wont he has been with the GCS, 4 years in total. he played 16 games in his first season and 43 all up in 3. the first 2 seasons of the GCS the won the wooden spoon & second season they finished second last. even then he still struggled to hold his spot. it will only get more difficult for him because all of the young players are now developing getting stronger and faster.
the almighty athlete from the NRL is that far out of his depth in the AFL. all it has only proven how much faster, athletic & more skill is required to play AFL
Rl players have played at the highest levels of Derpyball,& have been among the HIGHEST paid players .
Derpyball players have never ever made it at the top level of RL..

You poor southern folk are slowly awakening to the fact that you have been bullshitted to for yrs.
These so called athletes just cant cut it at anything else.(despite the propaganda.)Yet players from other sports seem to waltz into your top squads & stay there.
They step out of the bubble & get touched up by midget ex jockeys.
they try boxing matches & get pummeled .
They get talked up as possibly the best in many sports...sadly that's just plain Bullshit.
Me thinks the propaganda machine down south is top of the tree...up there with N. Korea for pulling the wool over the poor misguided folks eyes.

The swans are proof of success because they have more crowds and members than every N RL team in RL heartland. Once the Storm can boast that in Melbourne you can also make that claimRaiderdave wrote:soXman wrote:It doesn't hurt one bit. Xman who's skills are you referring to here? If its khunts and RL players I'd like you to recall our discussion re khunts playing ability last year and in 2012. You lauded khunt as a star of the future with all the skills to be a superb midfielder. You backed the AFL commentators swooning over this RL star.Xman wrote:You honestly think it was their skills? Well lets be clear. If Essendon join the basketcase league then there'll be seven teams, a record actually. So this would mean I'd believe Essendon would get in the bottom 7 not the bottom 5 or 6 this year.Xman wrote:you think Essendon will make the bottom 5 or 6 this year?King-Eliagh wrote:Yes thanks cwapper you reminded me. Ok, Essendon to only win 6 games all year and to finish in the bottom 7 and I'll ban myself for 1 month. Otherwise you'll do the same.King-Eliagh wrote:Well lets be clear. I might bet on it, even given your history of assisting welchers at all costs. I'd be risking a welch from you as I know you think I welched, even though that's clearly untrue. I've never welched on a bet in my life and wouldn't in this case either.
Give me some time to think about it. Picking the basketcase league as accurately as I do prior to April year in year out is not an easy task you know. I use much evidence, time and knowledge as CEO to be so very valid and accurate, year in year out.
And please if I forget due to my busyness please remind me of your intention to bet on this one
Aflcrap claimed RL players were highly paid for their skills. Well thats blatant lies, as is you claim I said Khunt was a future star. I said he was in the middle of their list. Khunt was an average player in their team and was not paid his high salary for this contribution.King-Eliagh wrote:Xman who's skills are you referring to here? Xman wrote:Israel Folau's value to Greater Western Sydney always needed to have more depth to it than just his name, according to the club's chief executive David Matthews.
It needed him to show the doubters this seemingly crazy experiment - at an estimated $6 million price tag - was justified by his deeds on the football field.
The hand he played in teammate Rhys Palmer's goal to seal their first win at the elite level - a 13-point victory over the Gold Coast at Albury on Saturday - and the powerful contested marks he took against Hawthorn the week before show he has the skills to cut it in the AFL.
Fellow rugby league defector Karmichael Hunt is also starting to develop, meaning the AFL's raids on NRL talent could continue.
''He's surprised a lot of people because he's developing at potentially a more rapid rate than many people would've expected,'' Matthews said.
''The best PR of all is the guys being successful on field. People talk about the publicity associated with it but there's no better publicity than watching him take the marks he took against Hawthorn or see his chip over the top to Rhys Palmer to kick the sealer on Saturday. He's the dimensions of [Hawthorn star] Lance Franklin, he's only 22 years of age, he's just completed his first pre-season, he's just a remarkable athlete.''

Xman wrote:Former Richmond great Matthew Richardson and ex-Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse were among those echoing North coach Brad Scott's comments after Hunt's 16-possession performance in the Suns' loss to the Kangaroos on Saturday.
"Anyone who has criticised Karmichael Hunt over the journey should be eating their words and should be apologising to him because, on that performance, he's a bona fide AFL midfielder," Scott said.
Xman wrote:There are 22 players on a team. There are 44 players (or so) in a club. Is K Hunt the worst? Not by a long shot!
K Hunt also does a lot of intimidation work like heavy but legal hits on the other teams midfield. These important parts of his game do not show up on any stat sheet but are invaluable.
Xman wrote:It prompted legendary Hawthorn hardman Dermott Brereton to tweet last weekend: "Karmichael Hunt might be the most feared player within the Gold Coast Suns"....He's a rare athlete. It's a big call, but he's up there with some of the athletes I played with, like Hirdy, the way they drive themselves," Solomon told SEN radio on Wednesday.
"They go above and beyond to get the best out of themselves."
Xman wrote:Plus his professionalism as an elite athlete is well acknowledged.
