Seems the fumblers are a bit Jelly that RL can sellout a stadium ,2 days running for a pre season comp..
& I think the bit that puzzles them is its in another country,...Overseas.....,Not in Aus......,Across the water(& NO you cant claim TASMANIA as another country).
Smell the fear from fumblers as after yrs of little $$$,bad management,A war & internal fighting ,we now are starting to get our act together.
SMELL THE FEAR.

Fear? I think that the nrl getting their act together ... Finally, will be good for the nrl. They will be able to grow the game as it should and develop a niche market as the AFL has and maybe get that national coverage. I do wonder how nines will impact on rl proper ... Will it grow the game or will it take away from it? Like 20 20 for cricket so to speak. I think one day matches are on their last legs. I mean that as a serious question not a swipe. The other thing is that if nrl does grow outside its heartland and gets a serious presence in other states, what will this mean for the AFL? I believe the nrl getting their shit together was brought on by the AFL move into western Sydney and the growth of AFL there. I remember Gould saying how he saw kids kicking a sherrin and it terrified him and he pushed hard for the nrl to do something. Which they did and I think it is paying dividends. Will the AFL respond in kind or have they played all their cards. I do think the nrl are catching up a bit though but have some ways to go. Had they not reacted god knows what state nrl would be in. I guess it will come down to product and professionalism ... I think the nrl have a way to go on the later but improving. The really need to get grass roots going properly on non heartland states. Maybe next TV deal will allow that.

100k attendance for an entire competition is hardly a raging success. Maybe it is compared to your expectations, which are understandably low

I don't know about you, but I live in Australia. I care about the strength of the competition in its own country, not some exhibition in another country.

Yep, seriously worried about how the game can possibly expand into.....NZ.....lol
Oh and, if we compare NZ crowds per game, the 9s will get 3k per game, the AFL last year drew 10 times that.

It is a different format.
Shortened games ,not 1 game.
