they've lost something in the vicinity of 12 Million dollars in the last 5 years & have been bailed out several times by the VFL in that time & in reality they'd of folded if it weren't for hand outs
they've had to move their training facility to the boon docks at Ipswich 80k's to the west of Brisbane as they couldn't afford to stay at the gabba their that skint for coin ..they can barely pay their power bill

In the same time the broncos crowds have dropped from 35k to 30k. At least the lions have a decent reason, a new AFL team began only an hour away, plus they've been cellar dwellers for long enough to impact crowds.

They are a merged team, of course they have members from Victoria just like the Swans do in Sydney, they have a few k members still from Victoria that followed the team when they were south melbourne.
