Hehe, only 2 and a half months and it all starts again at the SFS and Wellington, yeehaa :D

Need a break, been a looooong year watching the footy from all over the joint, need a rest and what better timing?

It's summer, the beer is cold and the chicks are hot and uncovered. Love living near the ocean.

Certainly the female office workers wear a lot more attractive clothing with the hot weather we have had in Melb - very nice.

Here's another point. Nine paid for the right to dictate to the NRL when the games are played. Seven did not.

So if Nine didn't get their way, watch the value of the NRL rights DROP!

they just seal the NRLs owning of the vfl from a broadcasters point of view

take off their 100 million off our 1.3 billion deal
then calculate how many hours both comps air for the length of both comps deals to determine what each code earns for an hour of telecast

then

So winners are determined by dollars per hour now, not total?

Hmm, the NRL have 8 games a round, with only two shown concurrently, therefore a total of around 14 hours per weekend.

The AFL have 9 games per week, but all but one a game are shown concurrently, so about 15 hours per weekend.

Then the NRL have a few more rounds over the season.

So even on this ridiculous comparison you still lose :\:

channel 9 run the NRL draw & choose to have the games run in prime time, to boost their ratings, in which the NRL still looses in :(/

Exactly. Ch9 control the NRL schedule, play everything in prime time, and the AFL still get more. :thumbleft:

Notice he doesn't talk about TOTAL revenue? Because the AFL had 425 mil to the NRL's 285 mil - thats because their well behind the eight ball!
