Re: Where will GWS finish in 2014
Well the fact that the AFL 2012 comp was officially nominated as the most lopsided comp in the history of the game is something I think is worthy of discussion on an AFL board. I'm not comparing to the NRL here. It's important for us to discuss the highs with the lows dear NRLcrap1
Let's try more of that eh?
So while we're talking about GWS I cant help but think we're talking about a low of epic proportions. What would others think about the team's morale after being pounded by most eevery other AFL team, like no other team has been pounded for two years straight? Do y'all think that this might continue to impact the team psychologically as they move into season 2014?
I'd say yes. How couldn't it really? But if they get off to an ok start this might somehow be somewhat overcome. However the swans are up for round one and I cant see anything less than an 8 goal drubbing. Additionally GWS are still so young. Yes they should be a bit better this season with offseason buys and the young'uns gaining more experience. But seriously, the experience the young'uns have gained is how to be walloped, week in week out.
It'll be interesting that's for sure. I'd love to hear others thoughts?

No it wasn't. That comment belongs on TFC.King-Eliagh wrote:Well the fact that the AFL 2012 comp was officially nominated as the most lopsided comp in the history of the game
Almost all people with football experience knew GWS was a long term project and they were on track.King-Eliagh wrote:So while we're talking about GWS I cant help but think we're talking about a low of epic proportions.
Again , that comment belongs on TFC. You should stick to TFC.
Well it was a 6 goal drubbing...coming from the GWS.King-Eliagh wrote:However the swans are up for round one and I cant see anything less than an 8 goal drubbing.
You should really stick to the TFC.

Yes it was stated as the most lopsided comp in the history of the AFL. I find your fear of discussing the difficult issues on this board is quite unhealthy. Is this board a board for only those wearing rose coloured spectacles?cos789 wrote:No it wasn't. You clearly didn't see the game. The Giants were very unluckly to lose this game. They had a 20pt lead in the 3rd before squandering it. Was a very good game.King-Eliagh wrote:Hmmm, seems those lads are back to what they do best, losing

Melbourne next at Spotless Stadium. You'd be mad not to tip the Giants to give the Dees a thrashing this coming Sunday. After that the Western Bulldogs in Canberra. Another game you'd expect to see the vastly improved Giants win. Will you be tipping the Giants against the Demons?

Perhaps the Giants should make sure that the scores are seen at every angle from the ground. Apparently the Demons are spooked by them.
Yes, I am not being serious.
