Its true . AFL is by far the biggest sport in Australia. Nrl not even the most popular in the whole of any state.

Even in Canberra AFL is the major sport. Out rates the crapper out of nrl and even giants get bigger crowds than nrl on Canberra .

The Telstra Premiership Grand Final day is a premium international sporting event boasting international entertainment and the 2013 pricing structure reflects the true value of the event while also ensuring affordability for families.
Fifty-two percent of seats sold to the public for this year’s Grand Final will be priced from $80 to $165 - less than the cost of a standing room ticket to Melbourne’s Grand Final.
Bronze
Adult $80
Concession $60
Child $50
considering
the base ticket price for the AFL was $150 & $128 concession & it sold out in a matter of moments
CATEGORY 4 $300.00 $255.00
CATEGORY 5 $260.00 $221.00
CATEGORY 6 $220.00 $187.00
CATEGORY 7 $180.00 $153.00
R'VIEW/STAND $150.00 $128.00

52%

:_<> :_<>
where'd you pull that figure from ..... out of cussy's arsehole ?
& anyway
what about the other 48% fuckhead ?
nearly as expensive as the VFL's most expensive GF tickets
an increase on average of 75% on 2012's prices across all categories did not deter anyone
& the first allocation of 70,000 ..... STILL sold out in a few days
I mean
lets compare the ticket prices & gates from Sydney's 3 biggest Rugby League matches in 2013
& the VFL's 3 biggest in Melbourne
shall we

so a base bronze ticket that covers 52% of sales cost $20, plus discounts for concession card holders & kids tickets.

there it is again
52%
& hes gone from 2 categories making up 52%
to now just 1

actually Raiderdave you claim the ticket prices have increased 75% up from last year. 52% of the tickets sold in the NRL GF are bronze class which sell for $80 Adult $60.00 (Concession) $50.00 (Junior)
so what where the prices for last years grand final if you claim they have increased 75%?
yet what ever the price is they still almost half the price of an AFL ticket & there is still thousands of tickets left the NRL big final show peace,

Still not a sell out? Do they need to give them away for $10 like a lot of their finals games?

Raider can you please explain why just 2 days before the all Sydney NRL grand final thousands of tickets are still available despite being on sale since July?
The following comments by a RL fans over at LU say it all really. How embarrassing. NRL heartland where people with tickets aren't even interested in attending grand final day. Oh dear.

just 1 of many examples below:

NRL Grand Final Tickets - 2 Diamond Bay 110 - Save $240
I have 2 Diamond Tickets, in Bay 110 row 9, available. They cost $345 each ($690 in total) willing to sell for $225 each (save $120 per ticket) as I just want them gone.
They are EzyTickets so I can email to you.

Like I predicted lots of people struggling to get their money back especially on those ridiculously expensive seats.
Heaps on gumtree asking for below cost as well.
Rewind a week and there were people offering to pay in excess of $5,000 for a seat to the AFL grand final.

dave, whatever you said, because nobody bothers to "read" your graphics,
I bet it doesn't alter the fact that nrl GF is NOT sold out.
