"The other 14 clubs all require regular cash injections from between $1 million and $5 million from supporting leagues clubs"
That's how RL has ALWAYS worked?? we get money from leagues clubs.... doesn't make them bankrupt or something it's just the funding model in place.

I'd doubt any need 5 Million
& most wouldn't need 1 million either ... its just RL bashing crap journalism
what the fumbling wombats can't seem to understand is NRL clubs don't carry over debt
it is wound back to zip if they can't cover their Football operations costs in a given year
the only Leagues club that wasn't making enough profits through its operations to do this with their football club was the Sharks
the Tigers were close to carrying over small debts
Manly the same
VFL clubs debts are compounding annually as they don't have big profitable licensed operations like NRL clubs do
some are going further
& further
& further
down the shitter each year
the VFL has to bail them out with short term cash injections to keep them operating so they fulfil their TV obligations
the VFL will go bankrupt itself if this continues
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yes Raiderdave read the article.
even the smallest club has a bigger club turn over than the NRL's biggest club the Broncos, & twice the size of the biggest NSW's clubs,
yes debts will be bigger in the AFL but there is more money involved in the AFL twice the amount.
unless you read the club financials we have no idea where the debt comes from
for example Essendon, have just spent 35 million on a high performance center out in tullamarine, as well as a 2million dollar fine from the AFL, but its club revenue is of 65 million dollars in 2012.
compare that to the NRL biggest broncos 32 million, who train on a shitty council field, behind their mini casio pokie filled leagues club

:_<> :_<> :_<>
Essenmonga got most of that money from the Vic Govt you shit for brains wanker
& turnover is irrelevant if yr costs are out of control
most V FL clubs are spending more then they earn
including that dumb as fuck club you follow .. the paddle pop wions
they are trying to keep up with their big cousins the Broncos & are going to the wall doing it

... & even though the Broncos turned over just 32 Million in 2012
only spent 29 Million....
plus their gaming operation turned a similar profit of about 3 Million
they are putting coin in the bank for years just like this one
their worst on record on field n that can impact finances ....but
if they lose revenue due to downturns in crowds or membership
they'll be ok as they have about 16 Million in the bank

n a profitable licensed premises to make sure they are n always will be good money wise.
meanwhile yr cockhead club is about that much in debt

...

:_<> :_<> :_<>
& you want to stand here & argue the broncos aren't doing as well as those fuckheads
the Broncos
SHIT on the the wions
they'd b long gone if the VFL wasn't paying their bills .. fucking pathetic shits
the wions are not fit to be in their company they are that badly run
when your lot can make $1 for every one they spend.. instead of spending $1.33 for every $1 they make
they may be aloud to stand n the presence of the Broncos

Australias most cash rich sporting organisation
is the Brisbane broncos you dribbling ****** wannabe

money flow ...... is irrelevant if your
flow in
is smaller
then your flow out
I know a fumbling singlet wearing halfwit like you can't grasp this complicated mathematical equation
I mean
1+1 & your reaching for the panadol

:_<> :_<>
but the broncos have posted 25 profits in a row from 1988 to 2013
25
in a row
the Wions have posted about 5 .... in the same period
so yeah
the paddle pop Wions are not fit to be in the same room as the Broncos

read the article dickhead
only 3 of the NRL clubs are actually financially viable that can stand on their own.
no nrl club aside from, the buldogs, broncos & cowboys
all the other NRL clubs rely on hand outs from owners, NRL commission & its shitty pokie filled leagues club.
nearly all of the NRL clubs carry debts of 3 to 5 million with sharks 13million
if the clubs had good cash flow, wouldn't they using some of it in their football budgets?
the broncos are the only club any where near the size of the smaller AFL club yet all they train on is a dust bowel council oval, behind their leagues club
better money flow will allow big a bigger operating budget
Broncos $32 million
Lions - $43,859,151
& considering they have been seller dwellers the several years

Broncos $32 million
Lions - $43,859,151
& considering they have been seller dwellers the several years
again
I'll type slow for fumblers as they have distinct learning disabilities
never mind that the Wions figure includes all their monies & the Broncos figure excludes their 34 Million in non football revenue from their licensed leagues club
so its actually
Broncos 66 Million
Wions 43 Million
& now for the important part
Broncos football operation in 2012 .... 32 Million in revenue
2.7 Million in profit
in 2013 the figure looks like it will be down to 2.1 Million probably due to a bad year on field
but the total for 2012/2013
is 4.8 Million in profits from its football operations over the last 2 years
Paddle pop wions total revenue in 2012... 43 million
posting a loss of
3.5 Million
& they're about to post their 6th loss in a row in 2013
lets say its the same as 2012
so that's 7 Million lost in the last 2 years
& probably 17 Million in the last 6 years
difference in cash flow in 2012/2013 between the 2 organisations
11.8 Million dollars
difference in total cash flow between the 2 organisations
about 32 Million dollars
one is the most cash rich clubs in Australian sport & plays out of Suncorp Stadium
the other
is a fucking joke

the article mentions they had 15 Million at the end of 2012
Brisbane has a staggering $15 million in cash on its balance sheet and negligible debt
