No, sorry cuzzy, the NRL is also supported throughout australia. Darwin is a particularly good example where support for NRL is greater than the AFL.
Back to the entertainment. Yes, it's clear to see why the AFL has bands including 60 odd year old has beens who you can see for 5bucks at your local rsl and some perth garage band which has had no international success...its because the fans are only (well primarily/99%) australian, whether they watch from home or abroad. I know, I've lived and played the game abroad

Well done the AFL for really saving a lot of money on providing a big celebration act, when they really didnt need it. Very thrifty of them indeed!
The NRL? Well unfortunately for them they gotta spend the big bucks. A code whith professional leagues across the planet should not do anything less. Imagine if the NRL put the 60 year old rsl bands up? They'd be the laughing stock of pro organisations the world over!
Everyone's done a good job, lets leave it at that eh fellas

Yes you're fairly right there cuzzy.
NRL - Oozing international appeal.
And on the other hand
AFL - bringing together aussie 60 year old rsl playing musos and some perth garage band to the MCG.
Such a contrasting display of wealth, power and influence dont you think?

wasnt there a league team there in the 90s that folded due to lack of interest and bankruptcy just because you get 20k to a game once is hardly enough to base a team there.
they get ok sized crowds for the union, bwut that would be from the number of ex south Africans & kiwis living there.

You're kinda struggling there mate. Some advice. Try and make your own valid argument rather than repeating and exaggerating mine to absurd conclusions.

Nothing. NT's football season is in the summer and all you can do is play one game in Perth? How about a team located there?
......crickets......

Speaking to a lady today from Darwin and asked her what code dominates. Emphatically she said AFL ... By a mile. She's a kiwi and follows union so no bias. She said that they were made followers of Australian rules footy ... Was not even a contest she said. She only lived there for a few years though
