Oh and swines what is the vrl? is that the Victorian rugby league? If so that's bloody fantastic, the feminisation of men through allowing melees should not be aloud in any league! Thanks swinesFighting however should be allowed and encouraged to reduce incidences of cheating foul play such as cheap shots.
2012
TOUGH LOVE in LEAGUE
CURBING VIOLENCE IN OUR GAME
Following on from the successful trials of the Tough Love in League (TLIL) in 2011 all Leagues across NSW will fully implement the policy in 2012.
The policy will be enforced in all age groups from under 13’s through to under 18’s. Other minor changes have been made to the policies which are outlined below.
The program has the endorsement of the NSW Rugby League and Country Rugby League of NSW.
No longer will the minority ruin the Rugby League experience for the vast majority. The Tough Love in League program is designed with four key objectives in mind:
1. To reduce the amount of violence in the grassroots game.
2. To take the pressure off young and inexperienced referees and match officials.
3. To make the Junior League experience safe, fair and fun for all.
4. To encourage increased participation in the game.
Desired program outcomes include:
1. Reduce on field violence.
2. Elimination of unsavoury behavior towards referees.
3. Stop ‘all-in’ melees
4. Remove repeat offenders from the games (both teams and individuals)
5. Reduce the number of matches being abandoned because of poor behaviour.
6. Stop spectators from entering the field.
7. Educate players at a young age that violence in our game will not be tolerated.
Seems the only people out of step is you and GiantsRD!
Why would NSWRL Juniors include point 3 3. Stop ‘all-in’ melees if this is not happening in RL, nice try at deflection but again - why are you bringing this up when it is obviously a problem for RL?
Thx KE I'll take your silence as an admission that this thread has well and truly backfired on you! Thats one more to AFL!!!!!! =D> :_<> =D> =D> :<> [-o<

Obviously Dave "Allen" has never played AFL. If he did he'd soon see how "feminine" it is!

Re: The AFL Melee - what why and how?
Jesus swines. All and sundry know the melee is not a term used **** the general rugby league public. It's cited in those laws you found as the pure meaning of the word i.e.
1.A confused fight, skirmish, or scuffle
This includes using fists to down a dirty opponent and stick up for your teammates. In RL its rarely 'confused', the players know exactly whats going down and why. 99% of the time its an honourable and exciting fight. So its actually a poor use of the English language in the rules book and needs to be changed. As I said, no one uses the term in RL circles so its a jolly good find their swines
In the AFL, on the other hand, a melee is a common well known term **** the AFL general viewing public. I'd suggest though that they're referring to the second meaning of melee in their instance. i.e.
2.A confused mass of people.
Yes, on the AFL paddock its not a fight, unless one considers pinching pulling and a bit of "pushy and bumpy" a 'fight'
No no no, its just a confused mass of people and video after video on youtube proves this. They're confused because theyre forcing their masculine instincts deep down inside and, unfortunately, conversely and perhaps unconsciously or 'confusedly', taking part in the feminisation of men. Its disgusting and wrong! Not to mention awful to watch!
Note: Our proud rugby league lads are standing up against the absurd rulings, endorsed by some English gimp (nrl ceo) who's never made a tackle in his life, and just conducting business as usual and loyally and commendably biffin it on when its required =D> :D <>' <>' <>' :D =D>

WE fight like men.
You put your right in foot in you pull your right foot out, you put your right hand in and you shake it all about, you do the pushy bumpy and you turn yourselves around, that's what its all about.
Seriously, it's the feminisation of men out there these days in the AFL
. Club footy's ok though.
Truth hurts huh? :<>

Not at all - I've had my share of punch ups - in a former life Fiday, Saturdays and Sunday's were all about busting up those fighting - bur I have a 14 yr old son - I have seen enough of people getting seriously injured sometimes for life just because some ape with too much testosterone and an overwhelming desire to prove they are tough! Hitting someone in the face like Gallen did is neither tough or courageous - backing back into a pack has these virtues the same as standing under a bomb. You can call it feminisation of the game - but I'd rather than than my son being a vegetable or worse still lose his life because of some immature and misguided attitude to what toughness and courage is!King-Eliagh wrote:WE fight like men.

So KE I don't care what you think it reflects on you not me, however immature or silly it may be - but I do care about my son and his welfare and if that means stopping violence in sport I'm more than happy to accept that!

Re: The AFL Melee - what why and how?
You goose, marngrook is naturally a violent sport. It involves contact aimed at knocking men down dunderhead. Now, I'll say it again, and we're unfortunately seeing it in RL currently, putting blanket rules on fisticuffs gives significant rise to dirty, dog tactics and foul play such as king hits and other sneaky illegal shots which are more likely to result in kids being vegetables. Fisticuffs reduces this kinda play because, as Myles found out, you can get snotted good and proper if you engage in headbutting, leg twisting and the like. And lets not forget what myles said before gallen snotted him good "Comon merkin, lets go!" or something of the like. Grow a brain swines, you're simply narrow minded on this matter.Swans4ever wrote:Not at all - I've had my share of punch ups - in a former life Fiday, Saturdays and Sunday's were all about busting up those fighting - bur I have a 14 yr old son - I have seen enough of people getting seriously injured sometimes for life just because some ape with too much testosterone and an overwhelming desire to prove they are tough! "But whaaaaatt about the children" scream those fathers and mothers with no clear insight into the sport
